Bullshit man. That penalty was correct.
Instead of blaming the ref for doing this job, you should be talking about stupid Magnin was on the play.
Magnin didn't look good on today. Too many stupid mistakes. And Boka seems to be seriously injured...

twice actually...
Nearly three, if Salihovic doesn't try to be too clever on that penalty. ;)

Yeah, my bad. All the same, that is inexcusable, and exactly the type of crap that keeps you midtable and struggling to make your way up to a Uefa Cup spot.

Magnin was really bad today - directly responsible for the 2-2 and the penalty for that stupid action. We probably should've lost it at the end because of him. Very poor. And with Boka possibly out for the long run, Magnin really must improve. I think leftback is certainly the spot above all other positions where we need to get someone new over the summer.
The central defence was poor aswell. Boulahrouz - was he asleep on Demba Ba's first goal? Gave him all the space in the world to shoot. Then Boulahrouz was also too slow on the 2-2. He wants to be in the first 11, but his performances so far simply aren't worthy of it. Tasci also looked poor on the 3-3. Babbel really needs to work on the defence - and hopefully Delpierre will be fit again soon. With any luck in time for the Zenit game, because we need him right now.
Osorio was probably the best defender today, he did well. But only him.
8 goals in the last 3 games is very, very poor. We could've gotten 6 points from the Hannover and Hoffenheim games, instead we've gotten 2. That's annoying. Then again to look on the bright side we were very close to losing both. Babbel's got that going for him right now - 7 games into the Bundesliga he has yet to lose.

Seems like the season won't be completely over for Boka. But he's out for 6-8 weeks.

Well, well I have never known that Gomez is that good with the ball.
But is there something wrong with your defence last night? It seems to me that all Ba needs was one simple (long) pass to score.

Key game tomorrow - will we make it against Zenit? We have fairly good chances after the first leg.
Magnin now has a cold so with both him and Boka out it looks like Traesch will be the starter at leftback. Delpierre still injured, so Boulahrouz gets another chance to try and impress. And I really really hope that, at least tomorrow, he will succeed.

I have a good feeling for the game tonight:) I think Gomez and cacau will score for us and maybe Danny will score for Zenit. I hope we can win in extra time or penalties with the help from our fantastic audience!
Please win guys!!:D:p

Tonight will be so intense. I can't wait. We don't have anything to lose, Zenit were and are the favourites to go through, but after the first leg we stand a very realistic chance of making it through this tie.
Will we score? I'm pretty certain we will. Question is over our defence: if we continue to play like in the last 6 games (where we've conceded 15!!!!! goals) then it'll be almost impossible to go through. If however we've managed to stabilise it tonight, then our chances are very high.
Question over who will start at leftback - Traesch or Magnin. Yesterday I wrote that Traesch seems the favourite as Magnin has a cold, but Kicker have put Magnin in the first 11 so i'm not sure what'll happen there. If Traesch starts, i'd try to motivate him by letting him know if he performs well in the next weeks, he could really get a solid starting spot: Boka is out of contention for a while now, and Magnin has played an awful season up until this point, Hoffenheim having been the low point. But it looks it'll be Magnin starting.
Boulahrouz also needs some motivating - he's underperformed almost every game he starts, and soon Delpierre is fit again and Boulahrouz is back to the bench: if has to be made clear to him that if he doesn't do well in the next 1-2 matches, there's almost no chance of him getting close to unseating either Tasci or Delpierre in central defence.
Other than that, maybe we should start Lanig rather than Simak on the left wing. Just one option, but Simak hasn't been great lately.
So, here is the full probable first 11:
----------------Lehmann
Osorio----Boulahrouz---Tasci---Magnin/Traesch
-----------Khedira-----Hitzlsperger
Hilbert-----------------------------------Lanig
---------------Gomez-----Cacau
zenit's likely side:
-----------------Malafeev
Anyukov-----Shirokov--Krizanac-------Kim
------------------Denisov
Zyryanov---------Semshov---------Huszti
-----------Danny--------Pogrebynak
So still a very strong side - Malafeev, Zyryanoc, Semshov , Huszti, Pogrebyak are all strong players, Danny also impressed me in the first leg.
But it does look more beatable without Tymoschuk :)
Kickoff is at 20.45
