Balls, great strike from Tymoschuk to end the half. Never good to give one at that point in the game.

He's is playing wildly out there. I can't believe he is flinging his arms around like that having already gone in the book.

Zenit will lead into halftime. Still, solid performance by the side so far. We're must by all costs avoid going two goals down, and if we have any chances to equalise, I hope we'll take them.
I'd bring Simak in for Lanig, we can't go a man down it would be way too costly.
Don't know, I was quite optimistic but that goal has changed things. Annoying right before half time, same stupid thing as in the Hannover game. Like the team lost concentration at the end. Then again, not much could be done, was a great shot.

Lanig wasn't bad, but at this point, he's a liability. He'd either have to play less agressive or he'll be booked a second time, both options are not very desirable, because we need everyone at 100%. So Babbel should either bring Simak or Träsch.

You guys were better until the goal. I think it was a world class strike, not a lot you can do about great goals like that. Sometimes they just happen.. :(
I think it will end 3-2 for Zenit at the end of the game, though I have a feeling it will end 3-2 for either team.

Very intense game now, Zenit slightly better, but we're having good counter attacks.
I just hope that the way Zenit is playing, they're gonna get tired soon.

Our defence is looking very wobbly, if we continue like this for the next 30 minutes, I don't see how we'll avoid conceding another goal.

Khedira had a good first half, but in the second he couldn't keep up that good work...Lanig now on Khedira's position, Boka on the left wing.

Usually, it's not such a bad result, but against Zenit, it'll be difficult. If we had to score in the next game, they'd destroy us on counter attacks...

We should've equalised there.
Hilbert wide open, Gomez MUST pass and he slots it in. If Gomez shoots, he MUST score.

Ends a 2-1 loss. Could've equalised at the end, kinda disappointing that we didn't. But still not a bad result. Before the match I would've taken this score, and Zenit were honestly much better than us in the second half, so we're lucky we didn't conceed more.
I'd say we were slight underdogs before this match, and we're still slight underdogs. But we'll have a fair chance, we'll see what happens. It'll be very hard, but it's possible to beat them.
