Once more, great goal by Hitz. He shot the free kick directly towards Alder, yet it was so fast, that he couldn't save it.

That was one of the greatest goals I've ever seen. No trickery, no crap, just raw power.

Congrats on an awesome win guys.

Another slap at the ones who were so quick to label you guys "dead" and Labbadia the "Coach of the Year" in the first half of the season.

Random news now:
- Khedira is playing for the U21s at the moment against Ireland U21s, score still 0-0.
- Boka, Marica, Osorio and Magnin are all with their respective national teams at the moment. Super Mario, Hammer & Tasci are with the German team, and reports say Gomez will start tomorrow. I hope for him he can finally crack whatever's been hindering for the NT.
- Cacau is back in training. Also, he is now (naturalised) German. So I say Cacau for NT! :D

Score is 1-1 by now and unfortunately, Khedira had to be subbed out. I hope he's not seriously injured.

We're getting unlucky with injuries again: Delpierre will definitely miss the Hannover game due to a Baenderanriss, and Khedira is questionable. I hope Sami at least will be fit, if he lose him as well it will be a huge blow to our midfield, he has after all been our best midfielder for the last few months.

Looks like Khedira will be fit to play.

Andreas Beck will most definetly start against Norway tonight. I'm still pissed because we sold one of our big talents to Hoffenheim. Why did Armin Veh do that, he should have given him more games! :(

Nobody here understood that move. At least Stuttgart gets another half million after Beck has his NT debut. I still think we should have gotten more money though (ans I said so back then). We were under no pressure to sell him, on the contrary.

I think it was mostly that Beck really wanted to leave. With Osorio in the team, he probably didn't think he'd become a regular.

Well, I only saw highlights of the game, but Boka looked like Ivory Coast's best players in their draw with Turkey.

Gomez looked like the only guy at all interested in scoring for Germany last night. The midfield play was pathetic, so it's hard to judge the forwards. Just a bad game from everyone, really.

I think Magnin assisted on Switzerland's goal against Bulgaria, but I might be remembering that incorrectly.

Osorio played the full 90 in Mexico's 2-0 loss to the U.S. Nothing amazing or terrible from him in the match. Former VfB player Pavel Pardo was thoroughly owned in the midfield by Mönchengladbach's Michael Bradley, so maybe we let him leave at the right time. To be fair, Bradley had a fantastic match, so that could be a bit harsh on Pavel.

Any other Stuttgarter's see international duty yesterday?

Nice. I had forgotten that they were playing.

Will we continue our upwards march in Hannover this week?

I do think we will win, but it won't be easy and we mustn't underestimate them. Any away match in the Bundesliga is difficult and let's not forget Hannover beat Schalke 1-0 in ther last home game. But they are playing a bad season and so I'm confident that if we play anywhere near as well as in Leverkusen last week, we will get the 3 points.

BTW, this is the line-up:

------------------Lehmann
Träsch------Tasci-------Boulahrouz-----Magnin
-----------Hitzlsperger-----Lanig
Hilbert-----------------------------------Simak
------------Gomez-------Marica

Apparently, Khedira is not yet fit to play after the injury he got from the U21 NT game. Osorio is being rested as he just returned from Mexico and is still suffering from jet lag.
Also, Delpierre is out after his injury.

Great start again! :)

By the way different-looking defence today:
Osorio has to miss this game so Traesch plays at rightback today and Delpierre is injured so Boulah is back in the starting side. Magnin remains the choice over Boka at LB. Looks like this:

Traesch-----Tasci-----Boulahrouz-----Magnin

Other than that, Khedira can't play :( Midfield:

-----------Hitzlsperger
Hilbert-------Simak--------Lanig

or something like that.

Not our strongest side today but we've started well and i'm hoping we can get the 3 points!

We're playing awesome again.

What a difference a coach can make... anybody remember how we looked in the 4-1 loss to Wolfsburg just 4 months ago? Crazy.

It's early still, but we'd already need a big screw up to not win this.

Are we gonna lose Hecking's job today? :)
