May I quickly add that despite the clean sheet Rensing has looked insecure tonight every time we've threatened, it's too bad we aren't in a position to take advantage of it...

I can't believe what i'm seeing! 0-5 at home, that should not be possible, not even against bayern. I hope this is just a nightmare and that we are making up for it against mönchengladbach, leverkusen and zenit. I have never seen us play so bad! It's over... well at least probably the worst game of 2009 is behind us... it can only go forwards from now!

Pokal dreams are over, too bad. But the league has got half a season lft, and the uefa cup is still around.

We can forget about this and beat Gladbach over the weekend. It was simply one of those nights where nothing worked. Just gotta forget about it.

Most pathetic display in a long time. I don't even care that we didn't get the offside call, had two or three off the bar. That score was completely indicative of how we played and the effort we were putting out. It was every bit as pathetic as the scoreline. Disgusting. Here's hoping that lights a fire under our asses for the league, but somehow I doubt it. No one was even trying.

Yeah, I'm getting annoyed by Rensing. Hell, even though Lehmann shipped in 5 goals today its so blatantly obvious who the better keeper is.

As I said over on the Bayern thread, I don't think that goal tonight was Rensing's fault.

But Lehmann is definitely the better keeper of the two.

I am at a loss for words. I wish we had kept a little more honor in this one, but, I can only go by what was described on here to know how the game went. Time to clear our heads and take out our anger on the league opponents.

Bastürk has nothing in the tank. I wanted Lanig to start, but they are going to keep giving Yildiray, but I don't know why. Because he has a high salary and Schwaben hate to waste money? No clue.


Boka has been rotten all season, and he was again tonight, and he deserved a red for what he did to Klose. Tonight he showed a lack of class as a player and as a person and the team should punish him for that. Everyone has bad games, but there's no reason to thrust at another player with your studs like he did.

My God I feel so sorry for Lehmann. No way did he deserve this shit. And he got humiliated and insulted in his own stadium. Class! He will never extend his contract. Grrrr, I am so pissed off. He is top fit, he really wants to win something, he still got the ambition but with few exceptions like Gomez and solid players like Delpierre (and wasted ones like Elson) VfB and Lehmann is like a fluffy bunny compared to a hungry and crazy fox. :mad:

:( The best thing about this, which was clearly one of the worst performances by a team I have ever seen both defensively but also when it comes to mental strength and will, was the penalty save from arrogant little hunchback Froooooooooonk!

Man, I had a bad feeling before the game but I never thought it would turn out that bad.

Indeed Rensing is a fly-catcher, but the great Bayern defense covers it.
Their back-line is very good (not as damn solid as the last season
under Hitzfeld, but this has to do with a bit different game philosophy
under Klinsmann, that gives them strength a other parts).

I actually don't remember it all, but it doesn's surprise me. Magnin was playing well that season anyway, so I probably just didn't notice. Oh, those were the days.

Basturk had nothing in the tank when you guys signed him. I thought you guys could do better and I said so.

We wanted him in Dortmund at the time because we couldn't afford a decent central midfielder then.

But in you guys swooped with 3M per season. Has to be the worst deal you guys ever made.

I am actually sorry about that for you guys. No one was going to sign Basturk. For him it was going to be Dortmund, Bochum or Turkey. I can't believe Heldt didn't realize that.
