Finally we managed to get a clean sheet (Boleslav is the current nr. 2 in Czech Rep.), so let's hope it is a good omen for the game in Stuttgart.
However, the booes against Baumjohann were absolutely stupid ... and also his reaction when he scored.

Marcel Ndjeng moves to HSV on loan (pretty surprising when you consider how poor he was in Gladbach during the last year). Good luck!

I hope that our players looked closely to the Cup game between Stuttgart and Bayern tonight. :-))
Unfortunately, it seems that Dante won't get fit until Saturday. :(

Down to business
The mid-season preparations are over, stressed Hans Meyer at today's press conference with just as much directness as his summary of the last few weeks.

It's going to be a crucial away game, concerning our current situation (4 defeats in a row & last table spot) and the difficult overture (Stuttgart, Hoffenheim, Bremen) after the winterbreak ... so let's hope that our guys will do everything in order to return back to MG with at least 1 point (even though we're the clear outsiders)! Hans Meyer knows how to be successful against Stuttgart, so I take this as a good omen. ;)
Btw: Initially, I thought to travel to Stuttgart with 2 friends by train (the last time we did, the cabins were full of BMG fans from all over Franconia) ... unfortunately it won't work, though.

I hope VFB maintain the same level of performance as in the bayern game..then we can even walk away with 3 points!
But i doubt that would be the case.Meyer sounds confident though..lets hope the squad is also confident enough and hungry to battle it out for 3 points not one,if we aim for 3 points then we might walk away with 1;)
Finally managed to log back on....but who knows if i can get back on bigsoccer again in a few hours...guys please dont forget to send me the live stream link to my personal e-mail!
cheers

I'd like to send you a link, but I don't know any at the moment. Maybe just check the "atdhe.net" site later on (unfortunately, the livestream doesn't work in Germany anymore since autumn ... so I'm going to watch the game on TV with a friend).

Hey guys, I'm a Mike Bradley fan from the US, and just wondering, why didn't Marin start, and where is Dante?

Hey guys, I'm a Mike Bradley fan from the US, and just wondering, why didn't Marin start, and where is Dante?
Don't know why Marin didn't start. Obviously, Hans Meyer believes that bringing Marin & Baumjohann together in away games, might be to risky (due to their weakness in the defensive movement). However, I'd bring Marin instead of Baumjohann ... since the latter has already decided to leave us after this season (the Bayern cash apparently is enough replacement for sitting on the bench or main stand).
About Dante: He isn't fit after his injury.

About the game in Stuttgart: Damn, it's very frustrating to lose such a match! :( Like against Schalke, Leverkusen and Dortmund, we were more than equal in performance ... but if you repeatedly can't take your chances and can't avoid the typical defensive blackouts, you simply can't get any points!
Nevertheless, I'm content with our performance today (good defending thanks to Galasek's routine). Unfortunately, it's the points that count ... and once again, we didn't get them.
Here's 2 match reports (in German) with the stats:

I've just been watching the match summary on ARD ... and still can't believe that Marica was completely unmarked in the 0:1 scene! And then Brouwers even scores a silly own goal.
Well, it seems we're simply not clever enough.
13 defeats after 18 games - that never happened before in our BL history.

I agree, in some parts Gladbach were much better. The first goal was completely random but that was enough to break the spirit of the players.
I really don't understand why Meyer didn't open with Marin...

Meyer is not good for Marin, you Gladbach fans agree, don't you? So just sell him to us, so we can make him happy again :)
It looks like Meyer wants you to park the bus to avoid relegation, instead of playing attacking football. Could work, but it would be a pity if Marin would be a victim of this.
I want Gladbach to remain in the 1. Bundesliga, and seriously hope that you somehow will manage to avoid relegation.

After gifting 3 points to KSC, you did the same to Bielefeld again (today) ... so you won't get Marin! :-)

Have you seen our game in Stuttgart? We had more chances than the hosts and were even the better team until the unlucky 0:1. So far about our alleged defensive style...
We have had a lot of bad luck so far this season, so the Fußballgott can't always be against us. If we play with aggression and passion against Hoffenheim next weekend, I'm confident that we'll finally get rewarded!

Well, I didn't watch the match, but according to Mario Gomez, you played a system he hadn't seen in 60 years. Catennaccio at its finest... :)

First of all, I give a shit about what BLÖD writes (they always discredit us because they hate Hans Meyer) ... and secondly, Gomez (who was very poor - his "kicker" rating is a joke) should better ask himself why the bottom team was better over almost 70 minutes.
