Ok guys...how is everyone doing??? isnt this a glorious day for the FOHLES? i couldnt find my fave beer which is Warsteiner...so i had to make do with BECKS!
This goes out to our small community of fohles on this message board..what a season..am glad we could tough it out, also i think giving the mayor of gladbach title to UWE is the right thing to do....boy o boy all those games which we all ripped our guts out....and the dark future that was really closing up on us...oh well we managed to survive it becuse VFL is not just another bundesliga team....i have always said there is something special and magical about this club no matter where they play and what division.....congradulations again.....lets all hope for a solid new season...with Hans Meyer on our side;)
VFL BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH will always beat in my heart!

UWE is our unofficial president and I bet he still need to recover from last night! :D
I remember couple of weeks ago I started to lose hope. I never thought this team will make it. To many defence errors, and everything worked against us, even when we played really good. This is why I love this game so much, everything is possible until the very end!
I had that huge relief yesterday, I hope we won't go through that anymore. It's about time to put this club on the top, bring back the old days, and some happiness to the fans. No more disappointments, we've been through a lot of ***.
Wolfsburg showed that it's possible. Hopefully it will be our turn next season.
Have a great day everyone.
Naz, I'm already planning my Germany trip for next season. Hope you're doing the same. :)

Guys,
What a great day.
Atmosphere was fantastic, SO4 two weeks ago were brilliant away fans supprting their team, however yesterday Dortmund were incedible.
We were in the ground early as my son wanted to watch the juniors warm up match which was VFL v Dortmund.
Both sets of fans supported the jugend if they were seniors.
Dortmund players came out to watch the last 5 minutes and the coach sent the Dortmund juniors to the away end and were given a great send off.
As for the match the 1st half was exciting and cannot believe it was 0-0.
Bailly made a few great saves early on and Dante gets better with each game.
The 2nd half was electric and the atmosphere growing by the minute.
When we scored the relief was similar to the last minute v SO4.
Dortmund deserved the equaliser and both team settled for the draw, then at the end you saw the Dortmund bench react to HSV scoring and sent everybody forward.
The reaction afterwards was amazing and in dreams can only feel what would happen if we were to win something.
Galasek was again a giant he was like a mother hen protecting his back 4, Levels played well in midfield as did all the boys.
Last night was a late one and they must have sold out all the beer in Monchengladbach.
Well done to all from the team on and off the pitch and especially the loyal supportes at games and around the world cheering on electronically.

WIR HABEN DAS WUNDER GESCHAFFT!!! Danke Jungs, danke Hans!
What a nerve-wrecking season ended yesterday with a big party! We were surely very lucky since the Bielefeld home game (scoring 2 last-minute goals and taking profit of our rivals' results) ... but our players thankfully got aware just in time of the seriousness of the situation and developed from sissies to lions! Kudos!

A few words concerning the game: Our defence had some problems with the agile Dortmund strikers Valdez & Frei at the beginning (thankfully, our goalie Logan Bailly did a good job) ... but after Thomas Kleine came for the injured Roel Brouwers, we didn't allow them chances anymore (except for Stalteri's blackout in the 1:1 scene) ... so kudos to our defenders and also the defensive midfield (Galasek, Bradley & Levels)! Dante was terrible in the first 25 minutes, but then he improved a lot and scored another important header goal.
Here's 3 match reports with stats and a few post-game comments (in German)

PS: Let's not forget to say "good bye" and "thank you very much" to Tomas Galasek, our best & most important player of the Rückrunde. He came in the winter break in order to help his friend Hans Meyer & Borussia in a very difficult situation ... and now he can leave the stage with the great honor of having accomplished his mission!

Congratulations guys, aside from my own disappointment at missing 5th place, it's terrific to see the two Borussias playing Bundesliga football next season. Best of luck, and don't run it so close this time next year!
Congrats guys! You were safe all the way, but your boys outworked us and Meyer kicked Klopp's ass tactically!
It will be great to continue the Borussia Derbies in the 1st Bundesliga!!
Thanx for the fair congrats.
It's a pity you didn't get rewarded for the impressive catch-up race of the last weeks (I wouldn't have begrudged it to you), but your guys simply didn't do enough to win the game after the 1:1.

OMG, please stop making me blush! :-)

Well, I was invited to a nice barbecue party after the game and really enjoyed 2 pints of beer ... but I'm already top fit again! ;)
I remember couple of weeks ago I started to lose hope. I never thought this team will make it.
To be honest, I lost hope as well after the Bielefeld game. Thankfully, the "Fußballgott" obviously was a BMG fan at the end of the season.
PS: Here's a nice clip for you to improve your German. :-))

Btw: Here's 4 reasons for our "little miracle".
1) Rainer Bonhof was our talisman.
http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/6113/230509borussiamgborussi.jpg
2) Hans Meyer never relegates (those idiots in Nuremberg should have known it)
http://torfabrik.de/uploads/pics/090523-P-SP34_BorussiaDortmund-1122-XL.jpg
3) Paul Stalteri never relegates either (look at his miracle with Fulham last season)
4) A certain German "Copperfield" (what's his name, Lascho?) predicted that we wouldn't relegate.
Alles klar, oder? :-))

Thanx for the info. After the Bielefeld game, I started doubting his competence ... but now I really think about asking him for his LOTTO predictions. ;)

Wow. I had not seen that before. Good thing we weren't playing under the old rules as the would have been offside for sure, due to the third forward on the play, who did not touch the ball. I was following the game on Kicker and was quite relieved when the score changed from red to black, indicating the final whistle had gone and we had tied the "other" Borussia. Now we need to improve the squad a little for next season.
