Dante's signing is now official.

He's played as a left back for some time now, but has been one of Standart Liège's CB's(the other one being Oguchi Onyewu) when they won the title in Belgium last year.

Borussia's Sportdirektor Max Eberl mentioned this and said, that the club bought him, to stapalize the CB positions.

Therefore, i could see something like this being our starting eleven:

If we want to play a little more defensive, than you could sub in Alberman or Paauwe, instead of Baumjohann/Matmour and let one of those guys play next to Galasek, while Bradley plays between those two and Matmour/Baumjohann and Marin.
If we need more offense, then Colautti or Neuville could join Friend up front, while either Baumjohann or Matmour would be benched for them.
Also, if Kleine is healthy again, i'd like to play him instead of Gohouri, who's just having too many mental mistakes during games. Also, we could send Gohouri to the bench, play with Dante and Daems at CB, while Dorda plays on the left side.

I know some people would love to have another striker, but i really think that those 4 new signings are enough and that we should have a real shot at staying in the Bundesliga.

Personally I don't like the formation with 1 striker, every team should play to win, and not play to try not to lose. I think Gohouri shouldn't be in the first 11, lately he's a holer. When I watched the game vs M. Netanya, I saw how slow he was compared to Itay shechter (Netanya young striker). Luckily we got Paul Stalteri to cover his spot...

Colautti is in a good shape lately, and with Friend and Marin it's a lethal attack. As I always said, the main problem in Gladbach it's the defence, not the attack.
Oh and don't dismiss Alberman that quick, vs Netanya he was very good and dominant. I'm sure he'll be back to himself...

What Eberl said is nonsens. He is the best leftback in the belgie league. He help out at CB last year: :rolleyes:

Borussia Mönchengladbach have signed Logan Bailly from Belgian first division outfit KRC Genk. The 23-year-old goalkeeper has put pen to paper on a contract until 30 June 2013.
