If marin has done what you expect uwe..i only have one thing to say,LET THEM ALL MERCENARIES GO we would be way better w.out them !
Yes playing for high profile team at some point might be his right...but even if he plays for us another season in 2.liga he would just turn into a better player..besides he is too young and has many years ahead of him...i would stay and not fall for the millions just yet and help my club..at least one more season!
As much as he is a great player, and a key player for us..its not like 100% guarantied he would flourish and be the same starlet in top bundesliga clubs..we have seen in the past how many great players have gone down that path in hopes of a great carrier and it just never happened!
Right now tho..all that matters is 3 points against michael frontzek & company...and god forbid if he plays bad..there is hell to pay in the gladbach camp!

Naz, it's not about Marko leaving us after this season. That's his decision and should be arranged between his agent and our Sportdirektor Max Eberl. What annoys me is that he obviously travelled to Hamburg after a painful defeat and ahead of a probably decisive game in the relegation battle. That's not ok in my eyes and costed him some sympathies (if it should be really true)...

Btw: Have a look which 2 persons met today. Do you remember them? ;)

Jos Luhukay (good to see him back) and Alex Voigt (who was the best player on the pitch tonight, btw.) had a nice small talk after the game.

Gute N8

PS: Somehow I'm so nervous when I think about the "Endspiel" on Sunday. Let's hope the rumours are true that Bielefeld has to replace top striker Wichniarek...

Guys,
Player transfers and early deals have been around for years.
If Marin needs to look at what happens when you leave a great family club he should look at the fortunes of Jansen, who took the Kaiser Euro's to Munich without success.
Shall we concentrate on 3 points tomorrow and get behind the team.
And let the summer take care of itself.

Friend remains sidelined

Borussia will again be without striker Rob Friend for Sunday's Bundesliga visit of Arminia Bielefeld (1700 CET), head coach Hans Meyer announced at today's press conference.

Unfortunately, Rob Friend can't have his comeback tomorrow ... so Roberto Colautti is getting another chance to finally score his first goal.
I hope that the team has realized that this home match vs Bielefeld (in front of an almost 50,000 crowd) is decisive for our fate! If we don't get the vital 3 points and aren't able to win a 6-points game once again, I can't see us keep the league (not even reach spot 16, which entitles to the relegation play offs). :( Our bilance against Bielefeld (6 wins out of the last 6 games without conceding one single goal) is encouraging ... but the huge pressure of having to win and their experience in relegation battles are our handicap. Nearby they are stronger on the road than at home.
Let's hope that Michael Frontzeck remembers his roots and doesn't field his best team (Wichniarek could miss the game). ;) All jokes aside, it's surely gonna be a nerve-wrecking match against a team which will defend with 11 players and try to catch us on counters. This "Endspiel" will definitely prove the mental quality & character of our squad ... so they either show a reaction like against Hannover 96 (when they fighted like lions in the end and enforced the winner) or accept their fate (when not being able to score, as happened against Bochum).

Damn, I'm soooo nervous.

Have a nice Saturday.

BOY-O-BOY so sad that this season must go down to the final wire, those 1 pointers we lost against easy teams(specially at home)..and those losses which we gift wrapped to opponents might come back to haunt us one more time!
There is some light at the end of this tunnel yet and lets hope this Roberto fella shows whats his worth..i respect the guy and was hoping with so much extra play-time he might finally walk out of his shell..but perhaps tomorrow is the day for him:confused:...Breaking news: Dante will score his 2nd one for GLADBACH tomorrow!

BTW: FR will not play against us next week at Allianze-Arena , He picked up another yellow card today against 04!

You can talk. Must be late at night in Canada, you can go to bed and sleep until the game.;)
I think I'll take my new bike, and put some energy into my legs... 3 hours ride, cooking, lunch... and I'm 5 hours closer to the game.

Lets face the music guys..we are just not good enough period!
I dont see any miracles happening for us this season from here on in...we have gone over this and the many reasons we cant get it done...and there is no point to discuss it one more time again...its very tiring and annoying to watch this team play and struggle continuously at the moment:mad:

Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

The fiasco is perfect. We're going down to the 2nd league again. :(

Unbelievable how much the faithful fans have to suffer lately. I'm absolutely speechless and also mad at this bunch of well-paid losers! Shame on you, idiots!

Adios.

I'm surely not a person that loves "Stammtischparolen".

Marko has a contract until 2010 in MG (what means that HSV isn't allowed to contact him without informing us) and should be smart enough to respect the fans' feelings! In our current situation, every player has to be 100 % focused on keeping the league instead of talking with other clubs (that can be done when the season is over)! Just imagine the reaction of the fans if Marko shouldn't play well on Sunday...

I'd like to see the reaction of the H96 fans if their club was in deep shit ... and Robert Enke travelled to Munich (after a 1:4 loss in Frankfurt) for negotiations. That's a matter of character in my eyes.

Maybe you just expect too much from him and his character. I mean, he did it before when he left Frankfurt.

Everything is still possible for Gladbach, I don't see how you're chances are worse than Bielefeld's, KSC's or Cottbus'.

Of course on "paper" we still have a chance...but technically speaking and from what we have seen from this squad so far,its safe to say we are the perfect candidate to drop!
Lets not forget our opponents, except FCE the rest are in the hunt for Europe or the bundesliga crown at the moment:(
Anyway this is one tough pill to swallow...
