Its like the term having your cake and eating it.
Why have a cake and not eat it.
Well it has got us talking, so who is your hockey team and do you follow the NFL!

Columbus Blue Jackets because I have lived here for over 30 years--except when they play my hometown Philadelphia Flyers. I get to 7-10 games a season. NFL is the Iggles (Philadelphia--it's how a Philadelphian pronounces "Eagles"), but I prefer college football and my Nittany Lions from Penn State.

Even tho you didn't ask me, I'm glad to see more people following NHL.
Obviously I'm all for Montreal Canadiens (This is how you write Canadian in Quebec). :)

We will get in trouble this should be about Gladbach.
Great atmosphere on Friday crowd was just short of 50K.
Bochum fans made a lot of noise particularly when they went in front then when we put the pressure on at the death.

The match is on Sunday so Michael Bradley can rest from playing USA World Cup qualifier on Wednesday and the flight. (Kidding).

Seriously?!

Yep, seriously.

This is a MUST win!

For Karlsruhe. If they don't beat us, they are quasi relegated. So you can imagine what a hell of a fight they will give us (they haven't won and scored for a long time, in spite of not playing badly ... so I take that as a bad omen for us).

Btw: Alex Baumjohann got nominated for the U21. Congrats!

Tobias Level's contract got extended until 2011. Congrats!

KSC has played great football in the past few games (even tho they havent scored)..seems like they are jinxed or something,But i believe their backs are more against the wall than ours and its as important of a game to them as it is to us..if not more! So they will have alot to look for ward too..and considering how our squad has performed against direct relegation opponents so far and the rest of this bizzare season...I wouldnt be surprised if we go down at KSC ( i sure hope tho am wrong this time)
This game can determine many things , Both for us and KSC...its safe to say they will buy themselves a solid relegation spot if they lose to us at home on sunday...on the other hand if we continue to drop points on sunday or loose..we can be facing alot of problems for the remainder of this season..and all the positive we have built on will start to fall apart...its going to be a very very tricky game...a fight to the last minute, Am sure they already know that and will give their 110% against us:eek:

Actually, that is how you write 'Canadians' in French (there are some anglos in Quebec you know). How you write 'Canadian' in French is 'Canadien'.

Roberto Colautti scored twice in the friendly against the Dutch "Ehrendivisionär" Heracles Almelo this afternoon.

Now let's hope he'll finally score his first 1 BL goal as well in Karlsruhe...

Also "Dante" played for over 60 min, seems like he didnt get much of a positive review by borussia.de but i think he maybe our key to success at the up-coming away game against KSC...Its going to be a very tough game IMO and perhaps the difference btwn surviving or not this season!

Friend is out for the next four weeks, maybe the rest of the season. Let's hope Roberto shows what he really can do...

Rob not playing due to injury just might be a blessing in disguise for us,I think colautti is more of a threat up-front and an increase in playing time for him..might get us more goals!
Friend is also great but for some reason this season his not been able to put the finishing touch on the ball:(

That's sucks because Friend is better. But after Colautti scored 2 goals in the friendly, I have a feeling he will play with extra motivation. He will want to show our national coach that he was wrong not calling him for the team.
Now that the team need him the most I expect him to shine.

Well Armina went down 1-0 against Schalke today...so thats some extra motivation for us,As much as i have respect for their coach & ex-gladbacher "MICHALE FRONTZEK" that used to wear the number 3 uniform for us...this result works best for us...i just hope we can come back from KSC with some points;)

That would be a huge blow for us (knowing about the lack of alternatives - except for Colautti). :(

Damn, damn, damn...

Let's hope you're right. He'll get his chance during the next weeks, so he simply has to take it and finally score his first goal! He's surely another type of player compared to Rob Friend, so his team mates should be smart enough to avoid long balls...

I'd be very pleased with a draw, but fear that we're gonna lose. The hosts haven't won and scored since many games, nearby they play for their almost last chance. Beside this bad omen, we also have to replace Marin & Friend...

If we had beaten Bochum, I'd be petty relaxed before this game. But now, we'll get seriously worried again in the case of another 6-points defeat...

Well, hopefully my pessimism is out of place ... and the team makes a nice birthday gift to me. :-)

The Israeli, who twice played from start to finish against Greece last week, has a minor Achilles problem.

Muaahhh... an Achilles problem after the matches against Greece... Fortuna has a sense of humor.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY UWE ;)

So how old are you going to be?? Dont worry i guess am the oldest out here on the gladbach forum:eek:

After the bochum game i was really worried about this game and didnt see us coming out with a win or even draw..just had that kindda feeling,But for some reason am more optimistic now...This game has turned out to be the most important game so far for us...and am sure it would show how much we have matured as a team and how well we are prepared to meet such challenges in the future !

Am sure meyer has done enough to get us motivated for this game...lets hope our squad would respond to this match with their full potential!
Am not really worried about a few players missing tomorrows game because this is a collective effort and am sure if we play smart and efficient...no matter who plays tomorrow we can come home with some points!

Basically tomorrows game is about nerves and brain and if we dont screw things up..and shoot ourselves in the feet we should be fine.

Lets not forget about dante, Am sure he would have a positive impact on sunday:D
