Hey i was wondering, those of you that saw the Jimenez step on Moreno back as Violent conduct. Compare the wayne Rooney situation in the Uefa game and Jose Jimenez. Which one is worse? And correct me if i am wrong but UEFA came out and said they did not find anything mulicious

I remember seeing the Jiminez one and thinking "that looked on purpose to me" and when I saw the Rooney one, I thought that it didn't - it looked like an accident to me. But to compare them, someone will have to come up with video for us to review.

Can't seem to find video of the Risgard stomp. For what it's worth, Rooney apologized and Risgard thinks he is innocent.

Here is video of an earlier incident though:

 It looks to me like he puts his studs straight into Jakobsen's knee while the ball is coming over his opposite shoulder!

This looks deliberate to me. If challenging for a ball in the air, why on earth would you extend your foot out like that? Had their been other incidents in the match between Rooney and the player he studded? This wasn't the case of a slip either. What was the outcome? Was Rooney sent off or did he get away with it?

No sanction, either from the official on the match or UEFA on video review. From all accounts there was no malice though, and while Rooney is a hot head, I just have a hard time seeing WHY he would do that maliciously in THIS match.

Uefa says it will not punish Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney over his clash with Aalborg's Kasper Risgard.

The Danish defender claimed the England international stamped on him during the 2-2 Champions League draw at Old Trafford on 10 December.

Uefa assessed the incident after it was missed by referee Laurent Duhamel but decided no action was required.

Rooney, 23, faced a three-match ban had he been found guilty by European football's governing body.

Rooney deserves a three-match ban just for getting out of bed, many days! :D;)

Just curious, but does anyone else feel UEFA really dropped the ball on his actions. There is nothing that is natural in his movements. He does not slip, it is for me done with malice and purpose.

i agree with you and that is why i started this thread. SOme of the people said Jimenez should have been sent off for his actions on moreno but no one said anything about this one
