Say what you want about him...he's the best American forward in the history of our little league. I didn't like Jason that much at the start either because he seemed a bit too pesky, and too Duke-ish (one of my least favorite schools), and maybe a bit like a frat boy. But I know now he's a solid competitor and works as hard as any player in the league (okay, now that the great Ted Eck is out of the league :)
The guy's got a number of good seasons left, and should retire as the all-time scorer in the league, probably by far.
Is he as talented as Mathis, Landon, et al.? Who cares!? :D
On the other side, I don't feel like he's really been screwed by not getting a fair shot at the national level. No, I don't think he's gotten a fair shot, but he's not the only one out there. I don't think he could have been one of our big stars. But it does chafe me every time I see that putz Jovan Kirovski get another run-out while Jason and other quality folks sit at home.

It chafes me whenever he goes out and chokes at the MNT level.

No Mike, I tend to stick to the opposite gender, sorry to dissapoint you man. Jason is a great guy and sure I wish I was in his shoes, scoring on the Fire, telling the Goon Fans to shut the fuk up, being a starter on the Burn, who could ask for more?

it should chafe you when he schools you and your goon team countless times.
Look just because the guy didn't come out from day one on the NATS and score endless goals, doesn't mean you should count him out. Did Donovan make an imediate impact, hell no he just got to play a few more games and he caught on. Everyone knew he had the tallent, he just needed time. Same with Jason he needs more than 20 mins in a game to make something of himself.

I heard that one time Jason broke both bones of the forearm of a boy that was shagging balls during warmups when one of his patented rockets went slightly off target.

He's on the warning list on the MLS site with 21 points.

It seems that the Metro's game would be the best to miss, if he can avoid a yellow until the Colorado game.
A couple of years ago, Dearing was close on caution points and intentionally (sp) picked up a yellow to sit out the next game rather than a later game.

You mean like the Fire's most recent 6 trips to the Cotton Bowl? I thought you of all people would remember after making all those disappointed trips back to OKC.

The boy was my son. Jason didn't know he had hurt him at one of the offsite practices. He was informed by the trainer who had examined his break. Jason asked to meet my boy in the locker room after the LA game. He was at a loss for words when they met. He signed is cast""Here to your first big break, I'm really sorry Jason Kreis". My son now has a story to tell for the rest of his life.

Well, he wanted a bigger challenge than the Chicago Fire.
