SoccerAge (http://www.soccerage.com/en/13/g6481.html)Savio Talking To Bordeaux

Real Madrid winger Savio is reportedly in talks with French side Bordeaux.

The two clubs have apparently reached an agreement and now it is up to the Brazilian to agree personal terms.

One stumbling block may be the fact that Bordeaux are willing to offer him just a one-year contract with the option of a two-year extension, where as Savio wants a straight three-year deal.

The former Flamengo star carries a European passport because of his French wife.

Last year Bordeaux could not score to save their lives. So far this season the Girondins have done better. Savio should be a good addition, but he will have to wait behind the likes of Dugarry and Pauletta. I no longer think Dugarry will leave the club. His move to Sunderland last year never transpired and he did not impresss to much in the far east this summer. I believe that he and Pauletta form a great parternship. Pauletta keeps looking more and more impressive and I fear he may quit the club if they do not improve their league standing and get back into the CL. I hope Savio is better than the last Brazillian striker to come to the Girondins. Christian the 7 million dollar signing from PSG was never worth it and proved his incompatence on the pitch. I hope this move works out better fr the Southwest club.
