This is not strictly football related but it involves a Liverpool FC supporter Michael Shields who has been publicly backed by LFC.
The High Court has ruled that Michael Shields can be pardoned by Justice Secretary Jack Straw.

I expect Jack Straw to look closely at the initial conviction and if he deems it unsound to release and pardon Michael Shields. This could happen swiftly.
