As you may have already heard, it was officially announced today that the US v Mexico home game will be played at Columbus Crew Stadium.
Lets get started planning.
We are looking at local groups to help us out as well. WE will be there, and would like to do get a centralized location with everyone to help unite us in our quest to dominate these mexicans.

I'd be your point of contact in cbus, all the AO members from Dallas know me from the Barbados and Cuba qualifiers.

True, that. We're staying at Drury Inn Convention Center across from O'Shaughnessy's and a few block from Tommy Keegan's. $139 per room per night after taxes. I think some folks from DC are staying there, too, but I'm not 100% sure.
But anyway, I heard this game was going to be played in SLC. :p

The Motor City Supporters, a supporters group created in the last few months to support the creation of a MLS team in Detroit, are planning a trip to Columbus.

If anyone has some detailed info on (cheap) hotels close to Crew Stadium, please post it. I desperately want to get this trip planned soon. Thanks!

I booked rooms at the Clarmont Inn in downtown Columbus at $89/night. It's a short walk to Tommy Keegan's. There is a Days Inn that's right by Crew Stadium that is around $50/night.

Hey Brunken, so I wanna get tickets in a US nats supporters' section, but I am totally unclear as to how that's gonna happen. If I join American Outlaws does that mean that I will automatically have a ticket reserved or how does that work? And is there a discount and how much is it? I really want to go to this game (never been to a US match before, or any other international for that matter) but I'm concerned that between the stadium holding only 20,000, the 3 million Mexicans that live within a few hours drive, and the possibility of Crew season ticket holders getting first dibs that I will never ever be able to get one, much less the two that I want to get. Help a brother out Brunk (or anyone else). Thanks

you're best off to contact directly. Info on obtaining tickets should and will be less out in the open for this match.

Anyone interested in a rather devious way to save money on sleeping quarters AND transportation shoot me an e-mail at anazarn@gmail.com. I'll let you know what I have lined up. Also, I'm making the trip alone. This will be my first US game in person; any AO guys getting together and hanging out the day of?

Usually supporter groups are allocated a certain amount of tickets, which they then sell from their websites. The tickets go on a first come first serve basis, so I would check frequently.

Yeah , if you go to your local macy's ask for the game between Us and the scum and they are shure to have tickets ready for you, however you must furnish a secret code, i will tell you but make sure you don't spread the rumor. Bring a mexicaqn flag to macys and cut it in half in front of the cashier, thats the secret code. Just make sure not to tell anyone Carnal

It may be wrong, but it's neccesary. The same secret code was used back in 05. I was nearly arrested for a hate crime at my local Macy's, so make sure there is no one looking.
P.S. It's not a good idea to scream "Remember the Alamo" at the top of your lungs when your cutting the flag in half. That's probably what got me in trouble.
