I know its unusual to have a specific match day thread for the reserves but considering the injury sufferd by Eduardo and his popularity among his peers and fans alike, I think its fitting to watch the match and support Eddie on his big day.
The Arsenal fans sent so many good wishes to him back in September and now its time to welcome him back from a carreer threatening injury. Over 4000 fans are expected to go to Underhill which is fantastic support.

I'm happy that he is fit, i hope he doesn't play against United this year, but it's nice to see a player recover.

Off the top of my head Nugent and Sahar havnt been playing much for the first team so they could get a spin for Pompey.
I was wondering who will partner Eduardo up front and the most logical selection I can think of is Simpson. Eddie will need a lot of help up there because of his match fitness and no better partner than Simpson to work hard and give 100% graft. He is also in good form so apart from his work rate, deserves his place.
Rui Fonte is too much of a CF and wont run the channels fighting for posession.

well Simpson is a CF as well... but his work rate is pretty high, so thats fair...

Yea technicaly they are both CF's but with different styles. Rui Fonte likes to play around the width of the box where as Simpson will do that but also pull out wide.
Its on ATV and im pretty sure ATVO aswell.

Eduardo is starting tonight. He has trained for the last couple of weeks and he has looked sharper and sharper every time. We’re all delighted that he’s making his return tonight against Portsmouth.
It is a fantastic boost to have him back. It was a horrific injury and he’s done ever so well. I think it is a credit to Tony Colbert, the whole medical team and the backroom staff who have got him fit. I have seen him train from the first steps he took on what has been a very long road for him and they really have done a great job with him.
