Arsenal v Liverpool
Ashburton Grove

** Note the unusual kickoff time for this one **
It's another "Big Four" fixture as we try to reclaim our fourth spot in the league. If our form this season is any indication, then we'll probably be up for this game.
I am a little worried about this one -- against Hull, Liverpool looked the weakest when they were attacked from the wings. Mendy absolutely tore apart Liverpool's left. Unfortunately, we don't have anyone with pace to play RM right now. Walcott would have been a great play in this game.
Prediction: 2-2.

I just hope we get a decent ref. We don't need the sort of decisions that scuppered us in the CL last season.

I wish we could put out a midfield not composed of (save for 1) second or third string CM's.

We will win 3-2, as we will against Villa, then drop points against whoever we play after that who is in the bottom quarter of the table.

In light of the recent ups and downs of this team, I think we're all feeling a little http://springfieldfiles.com/albums/signs/0662.JPG
Hoping for the best, won't be shocked for the worst.
I'm going to be in NYC for this one. Anyone wanna offer me a beer to entice me down to Nevada Smith's? What's in it for the offeror? My beautiful punim.

Oh yeah, that reminds me -- I know this isn't totally appropriate for this thread, but if you watch games in Philly, I'm going to be there on the 28th -- would love to go out somewhere. PM me.

Cheeky;).
I guess no one really knows shit, but what do you think the chances of having him for this one are? It seems a little early still, but we could use him.

Injury News
Please note The injury news on Arsenal.com is updated only from Arsène Wenger's press conferences and his interviews with Arsenal TV Online. For clarification purposes, this is dated.
Samir Nasri
Friday, December 12, 2008
Samir suffered an ankle injury during the first half of the win over Wigan and will be out for "two or three weeks" according to Arsène Wenger. The manager confirmed that the left winger will also miss the trip to Middlesbrough. "Kolo Toure will still be out and so will Samir Nasri."
Tomas Rosicky
Friday, December 12, 2008
Tomas Rosicky will be back in March “at the earliest”. The Czech midfielder was last seen in an Arsenal shirt on January 26 when he hobbled off after nine minutes of the FA Cup tie with Newcastle at Emirates Stadium. The problem turned out to be his hamstring tendon and, according to Arsène Wenger, “the recovery period was slower than expected”. Rosicky underwent revision surgery in Germany in November but it will be well into the New Year before the 27-year-old plays again. "He's doing rehab at the moment,” said Wenger. “He's back here on December 17 and then hopefully we can start to work with him. But it's a long-term prospect - maybe March at the earliest."
Theo Walcott
Friday, December 12, 2008
The winger dislocated his shoulder during an England training session on Tuesday November 18 and will not play until next year. However, reports that his injury could blight the rest of Walcott's career appear to be wide of the mark. "Theo had a dislocated shoulder and he had surgery. He will be out three months," confirmed Wenger
Eduardo
Friday, December 12, 2008
Eduardo is set to return to competitive football for Arsenal Reserves on December 16. The Croatian striker has been sidelined since breaking his leg at Birmingham on February 23. It has been a long, hard journey but the 25-year-old has made good progress and his comeback is close. “I believe we might see him for the first time in the Reserves on December 16 against Portsmouth,” said Arsène Wenger ahead of the game against Wigan. “After that we will just go from there but he looks very good and very sharp in training.”
Kolo Toure
Friday, December 12, 2008
Kolo is suffering with a calf injury and will miss Saturday's trip to Middlesbrough.
“However Kolo Toure will still be out," confirmed the manager.

Its going to be a tough match because Liverpool has one of the best player in the premiership:

He's nickname is the ref, and he literally controls the game.

I heard he plays anywhere on the pitch, but its his abilities in the penalty box with Stevie G that make him stand out ;)

Anyways, I really want to beat these scums. Liverpool are a team of history so lets keep them there.
Expect to see some of Gerrard's trickery on Sunday(?):
