Swedish international, played for a number of big and medium clubs (Roma, Deportivo, Nantes, Anderlecht, Bolton), looks pretty good on youtube (don't they all), been linked with Man City recently.
For those of you familiar with him or with Swedish football, do you think he's any good? What would you say are his strengths and weaknesses? A lot of the fans of his current club don't understand what has made so many European clubs take him on and why Man City would take an interest in him, so I'm curious as to what did those clubs see in him that Hilal fans can't figure out.

What media reports that Wilhelmsson is on his way to Man City?
it sound very strange to me, donīt get me wrong, wilhelmsson is a skilled player, but City can buy anyone in the world and I donīt think a guy thatīs almost 30 and has as a weak history as wilhelmsson would be on there list of potential players.
Wilhelmsson is more or less like a C Ronaldo or Bastian Sweinsteiger type of player, with great pace and high technical skill, but in my opinion he lacks that "killer instinct" that has made these players world class. He has great talent, but he hasnīt made the most of it in his career.
Wilhelmsson is a good player, strengths are speed and technical ability, weaknesses are tackles, headers and finishing. He is often described as bad defensively but i donīt feel that thats correct, he has developed his two-way game a lot in recent years.
He played very well for Anderlecht, was ok for Roma (who actually wanted to buy him but his french club wanted to much money) and was an important factor when it comes to deportivo changing their negative trend last year. But he also seems to have the kind of personality that sort of creates bad situations in clubs, he was on a constant collisioncourse with Nantes, and there was something weird about how he never ever got to play in Bolton either.
I think signing with Nantes was his biggest mistake in his career because it just didnīt work out, and when clubs wanted to buy him (roma, deportivo etc) Nantes wanted insane amounts of money for him, so he sort of got stuck in his career. Huge potential though.
