If this was one of our players it would have been a 3 game ban. Hell UEFA wouldnt even need to review it because our player would have gotten a red during the game.

Ronaldo is the one i'm worried about. In the last 6-7 matches he's had a random outbreak where he just kicks out at a player for fouling him or even for getting a bit too close.

probably because he doesnt want to be there

I havnt confirmed this myself yet, but Ive "Read" that the chelsea home fans BOOED there team off the field today after the 1-1 draw against West Ham.

It puts abit of perspective on the Eboue-gate issue. I mean, consider the fact that they had the Ridiculous home record going for nearly 4 years strong, and they've what, been somewhat inconsistent for the last 3 months, and to Boo them:rolleyes:
Like they've earned that right. Their czar buys two titles after they hadn't won for half a century, then there's a little disappointment, and suddenly the Chelski fans act as if they're in the Yankee Stadium bleachers.

Really, people... and they wonder why we call them Chavski.

Maybe it's a Brasilian 32.
Is that like a Cuban 28 or a Dominican 12 in baseball?

(see: Hernandez, Orlando "El Duque"; Almonte, Danny)

Just watched the MotD highlights for Villa-Bolton...only major observation: Villa Park looks 10% empty and sounds as quiet as a Sunday morning walk in the park. WTF?

Luis Suarez rules.

Also, for those of you who don't know...Danny Blind's 18 year old son Daley is getting some playing time.

BREAKING NEWS: Paul Ince has just been sacked as Blackburn manager.

Kind of sad, because it was nice to see someone of color given a chance to manage in the top tier of English football.

All the same, he seemed pretty much over his head this year and it was probably deserved. Perhaps Fat Sam will get the job?

my problem with Ince's sacking is not race but the fact that they did not give him a strong enough team this year... you replace Friedel with Paul Robinson?

Hughes barely held that side together the last few seasons and they did not really support him either...

It definitely was deserved. I thought the board was extremely patient with him to be honest. He was over his head.

Thing is, Blackburn have been batting above their weight for a while. Santa Cruz got them out of a lot of shite last year, the year before it was McCarthy, and now that they're not scoring as much, they have been exposed and Ince has taken the flak for the fact the rest of their team is weak. Their team is not good enough, there's no two ways about it.

Fat Sam has distanced himself from the job because the squad is crap. At least at Sunderland you'd (theoretically) have a fairly decent bunch of players to work with.

My sense is that if Sunderland wanted Sam, he'd already have the job.

Didn't he lobby for the Blackburn job previously?

exactly... they never replaced Bentley who was the center of a lot of their attacks last year... Santa Cruz had a brilliant season last year and has not recaptured that form, and Mccarthy has been in a 2 season funk

that team just isnt good enough... Ince wasnt doing a great job either, but in the long run, he is better off not leading them to relegation I feel... Hughes held that team up longer than it should

Maybe so, but McCarthy and Santa Cruz are still there. Blackburn still has some decent players on the team. They may have punched above their weight in recent seasons, but they should not be second to last with only three wins in seventeen games. They are not THAT bad. Ince was not getting enough out of his players.

Agreed. With the money involved in staying up vs. getting relegated, they couldn't afford to see whether he could turn it around.

Ince did well at MK Dons. He'll get another managerial gig soon, though it will probably be a Cola-level job.
