It's a game against 1 of the big four again. Can we maintain our unbeaten record against the big four since Uncle Harry took charge?
King seems to be a doubt so Dawson will probably step in.
Probable lineup
-------------Gomes----------
Corluka--Woodie--Dawson--BAE
Bentley--Jenas--Zokora--Lennon
------------Modric-----------
------------Bent-----------
If we can play like how we played them last season, i will be happy.

no rooney, no evra, berbs questionable, little girl ronaldo hippy hurt. Best chance for a win at home. With the form our team is playing right now it will be close. We will either win 1-0, 2-1 but only by a goal.
I still have that bad taste in my mouth when Tevez hit that goal in the last secs of the game last year to give manure a draw.

We drew Chelsea with Ramos, so overall I believe we are 1-2-0 against the Sky 4.

Looking forward to being at the Lane for this one.
If Ledders can't play, I'd prefer Corluka in the centre and Gunter at right back.

If you believe Sir Rednose, half the Man U squad is doubtful. I have a feeling that Modric will have his best game yet for us and somehow, someway, we'll eek out a win. :jinx:

Yeah I don't believe all the Man Utd doubts for a second.
Hope King is fit, we need to him go get any kind of positive result.
We should of beaten them last year, but we hardly ever do so I can't see us winning this one.

Uh, huh. All of Utd's "walking wounded" other than perhaps Berbatov (who should legitimately be afraid of the welcome he would receive) will be starting the game. But 'arry is too wily of an old fox himself to fall for any of SAF's cr@p.
We're due a win against them. On balance of the last 10 meetings or so, we should have had 2 wins (Mendes's "goal" and another game in which they equalized with a few minutes to go) and yet we have none. We're due.

So we are unbeaten against the big 4 this season. This is impressive. :D

i really think the time is right for us to get 3 pts over ManUre...Modric for a big day and Gomes only drops one ball and zero consequences

If Modric can get on the ball consitently and Lennon can put a good amount of pressure on their back line (and pin their outside midfielders back), then that'll go a long way to helping out our own defense. Here's what I ex[ect to see for a starting lineup:
Gomes
Corluka Woodgate Dawson Assou-Ekotto
Bentley Jenas Zokora Lennon
Modric
Bent
I wouldn't mind seeing Huddlestone instead of Jenas, and King instead of Dawson (obviously), but I'm not expecting either. As for Gunter on the right and Corluka in the middle - not a bad shout, but I don't think it's ideal for this game. If Ronaldo plays, I have a feeling BAE is going to have a blinder against him and he'll shift to the left...where Charlie will have him in his pocket!

The keys to this game for us will be Modric and Lennon on the offensive side, and keeping Ronaldo quiet on the defensive side.
For the latter piece, I really truly believe that Zokora needs to play. Possibly instead of Bentley... If Harry starts Bentley on the same side as Ronaldo, we're well ********ed. Bentley is easily the worst defender on the team (and is slow as shit). The reality is that neither of our full backs will be able to deal with Ronaldo alone -- Corluka is too slow and BAe is too prone to fouls. They'll need some help from midfield.
I'm wondering whether Harry might even choose to start Zok at RB instead of Corluka for this reason...

Has Lennon been stepping his game up lately? Hope to see him take back his rightful spot in the England squad soon.

If King is fit then I would be very surprised if we do not get at least a point, I can see them struggling to cope with Modric unless Ferguson puts a dedicated defensive player in midfield. With Dawson it will be hard, we will be lacking mobility at the back and ManYoo's attacking movement will be a big problem.

I didnt get nervous for this match until about 20 minutes ago. Not sure if it is nervous excitement of the prospect of being able to beat Utd, or if it is nervous dread of losing and perhaps being pushed further down the relegation scrap.

I was under the impression that Berbs was a no-go...Shame we might not see Woody level him once or twice...:(
I agree with Cal; would rather see Corluka in the middle and Gunter on the right if Ledders is a no. Lennon should start on the left and be allowed to drift.
We've got a shot, and not just because of Manure's injuries...
COYS!!!
