ASA: The Australian Soccer Association (ASA) today confirmed that it is in extensive negotiations with Venezuela with regards to an international match against the Socceroos in Venezuela on 18 February 2004.
ASA and the Venezuelan FA have reached a verbal agreement on the terms and conditions for the game, however are in the process of exchanging written contracts before formally confirming the match.
Additional negotiations are continuing with other National Football Associations to secure a meaningful international program for the Socceroos in 2004 and beyond.
