hello,

kinda a stupid question here, but since the revs and rapids share similar home field setups.....are the concessions and other game day features (maybe parking too) the same cost for rapids fans as they are for broncos fans? and more specifically do you find them unreasonable? kinda too long to go into why i'm asking...but i'd appreciate any feedback.

also, i was very disappointed to see al michaels last night voice over an aerial shot of denver by listing off all the sports teams there...and, of course, leaving out the rapids who actually share the stadium with the broncos.

Interesting note that I've heard from a fan who has visited both Gillette and Invesco Fields, is that despite the "newness" of both stadiums, he said that Invesco is WAY nicer in terms of amenities, quality of the actual stadium construction, scoreboards, etc.

He even went so far as to say that it's not worth going to Foxboro to check out the new stadium!

I'd be interested in hearing from other fans who've been to both.

Watching the Monday Night Football (Yes, I'm a American Football fan, in fact if you make me choose between the Rapids and the U. of Washington Husky football team, the Rapids will lose) game last night, I wanted to give thumbs up to the Broncos/Invesco field. I only watched for a few minutes, but it didn't look like they had painted the end zones yet. That makes it look better when the Rapids have to play on the field,

I can't afford the Broncos, but I would suspect that the concessions at least are priced the same. Rapids concessions seem to cost the same as they do at Coors Field and the Pepsi Center. (That is to say, way too much!)

Parking might be more for Broncos games, simply because there are more people wanting parking spaces.

I went to the Broncos game last night.

I paid 10 bucks for parking, and that was out by Pepsi Center (a 15 minute walk to Invesco). I think closer to the stadium your looking at 15 to 20 bucks. Usually if I get to Rapids games early enough, I can park on a side street a couple of blocks away from the stadium. No way you could do that for Bronco game unless you got there a few hours before kickoff.

Beers (and I think everything else) are the same as Rapids games.

I think Invesco is a beautiful stadium, definitely a top flight venue. But I really do miss the old Mile High. Everyone was a lot closer to the field and the atmosphere was better.

AFAIK for Broncos games, all the parking lots immediately adjacent to New Mile High are for season ticket and parking pass holders only.

Also, wasn't the Razor (CMGI-cum-Gillette) only recently completed? If so, the question for Legend is when that person went to the stadium. I know for the WC warmup match against Holland, the stadium wasn't yet finished.

the stadium was "finished enough" for the holland-us match....meaning that they were just trying to finish up 2nd and 3rd level interior work (all seats were in place) and finish up the luxury box and club level interiors. visually, it was like 95% done.

The Donkeys started already? Damn, that means we get freaking lines across the field. Ahhhhhhh Helllllllllll.

I've been to both stadiums and I would prefer Foxboro over Invesco. The US-Holland game was a great experience and I would have to attribute a big part of that to the atmosphere at Foxboro. It seemed a ton more soccer friendly.

I haven't been to the Razor, but remember there's always going to be a difference in atmosphere from league games to internationals.
