FIFA World Club CUP Prediction Thread [R]

Is anybody up for a little prediction game based on the CWC 2008?
It will all occur in this thread, and lets say that the first ten people who make their prediction for the Adelaide United vs Waitakere United game, will be entered into this competition. The winner at the end of all 8 games will be crowned as the Champion of CWC Championship Predictions 2008.

The scoring for each game will be as follows: 1 Point for correct winner, 2 points for correct result (Scoreline).

I, GW Emperor, will be entrant number 1 of 10, and my prediction for game 1 of the FIFA Club World Cup 2008, is as follows:

Adelaide United 3 - 1 Waitakere United

If you predict a tie for a game and the game actually ends in a tie, you will get 2 points for the correct tieing scoreline, and 1 point for predicting who will win on pens or extra time.
I may increase the members of the comp by a few, this all depending though on how many choose to participate.

I have been going around the boards looking for followers of the participating teams and encouraging them to join. Hopefully this will interest them as it would be good to have some representives of the CWC clubs here too.

A good game in my opinion, in which the part timer's of Waitakere United pulled off a much better performance than expected. Adelaide United were the better team though, and had far too many set pieces, especially corner kicks. Adelaide will now advance to the Quarter Finals to face AFC Champions League winners Gamba Osaka, in what will actually be a rematch of the Asian based final.
