I dont wanna offend you with this. Are you playing dumm or are you really dumm? I think what he meant was if the thread was a joke, seeing names like SHampions League or Barfalona, you could come to the conclusion that this THREAD might be a JOKE.

i was wondering if there was more to the thread?? or was he just making fun of the teams names? or wants to know on a serious note who will win the CL?

Way too early to be talking Champions League. The tournament doesn't even begin for another two months. It all comes down to who is in top form at that time. All we can say now is finishing first in your group didn't mean jack shite, there have been no surprises during the group-stage and we don't have to hear from noisy Fenerbahce posters about their mediocre team for at least another 8 months! :p

Ooh, if I'd known earlier how many people would pick Bayern, I'd taken another team, I took it more as a joke, or maybe patriotism... I mean, they are good and I hope they'll survive another round or two, but Lucio's getting old, Rensing lacks experience, they have no good right fullback, the whole defense isn't as good as it was last year and the offense depends too much on Ribery. For me, the main favourites are ManU, Chelsea, Liverpool, Barcelona. If they get their act together in time, Inter or Real might play a role, though I have to say I was quite disappointed in Inter in their 2 matches against Bremen. Not nearly the top team I was expecting... so maybe Bayern has a real chance after all ;)

So far, it looks like Barca and Juventus are the favourites. United haven't exactly set the tournament on fire, but we are unbeaten and have looked pretty solid, I think that if we avoid injuries and suspensions, we can go quite far again. Liverpool, Inter, Chelski, Arsenal and Real are all dangers too of course.
To be honest; it's same old, same old. I doubt very much Panathanaikos will win it put it that way.

Olympique Lyon!Really sticking your head out there. 10/16 teams left are favourites....I would say the only teams who can win it are Barcelona, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester, Inter and Bayern.

barca look like favs, i think it will be between chelsea, barca, manu and liverpool, possibly a repeat of last years semis if the draw will allow.
inter suck, juve have ranieri, arsenal are too flaky, bayern and lyon are from second rate leagues, the rest do not have what it takes, but with atleti and roma as dark horses (but only one new name on the cup over the last 15 years)

Hmm... as much as I like Arsenal... I'd put Bayern Munich ahead of Arsenal, especially now that they have Landona Donovan... :D.... ok, that last part was in jest but I don't see Arsenal winning the CL this season. I think Madrid, Munich, Juve, etc maybe have more complete squads...

I don't know why people are picking juve, Real Madrid are not hard to beat, and inter beat them.

Inter suck? would you care to expand upon that?
Agree with the 4 favourites though still not sure about Man Utd. They could be tired from catching up fixtures plus the same motivation is not there the season after you've won the CL.

8 points from 18 possible. one of the lowest points totals to ever qualify from a group in the cl. and they choke in europe every season, regardless of who manages them, i hate to say, a bit like england. so i was wrong to say they suck, but i dont think they will go far in europe this season. hopefully not beyond the first ko round, becuase they are playing my team , manchester united.
