This thread is for discussion of the college football bowl season. If people want to make predictions, that would be great.

This is not a BCS piss and moan thread. Those posts will be edited or moved to the appropriate thread. So be warned.

I'll get the bowl predictions started (just the BCS bowls):

Rose Bowl - Michigan 38 USC 31
Orange Bowl - Miami (Fla.) 28 Florida St. 24
Fiesta Bowl - Kansas St. 24 Ohio St. 14
Sugar Bowl - LSU 21 Oklahoma 17

Final Rankings:

1) LSU Tigers
2) Michigan Wolverines
3) Kansas St. Wildcats
4) Miami (Fla.) Hurricanes
5) Tennessee Volunteers

GO, BIG BLUE!!!!!!!

Its unfair how Conference USA gets all the crappy bowl slots. They don't even get to play against any BCS conference teams in a bowl. No wonder half the teams left.

Thursday, December 18
GMAC BOWL
Miami (OHIO) at Louisville, 7:30 PM ET ESPN2

amazing that a team that is 12-1 and pretty much dominated everyone they played this year <and is #11 in the BCS> except for the first game of the year when they lost to iowa plays in a bowl on freaking december 18th in mobile, alabama. what a joke, that team deserves better.

It beats a lovely December trip to Detroit to face 6-6 Northwestern. And it's a better bowl berth than Northern Illinois gets. Maybe the MAC's success this year will give them a bit of negotiating power to get into better, or at least more, bowls.

I'm already in the Bowl Mania sweepstakes & don't have a group.

Was looking to join your group but can't find it.

Could you point me in the right direction?

And how the BCS would love to see this!
There've been reports that if USC looks impressive (wins by at least 2 tds) and LSU wins, some coaches may go against the BCS and vote USC #1. I'd love to see it, not just because I'm a Pac-10 homer ;) but to see how much convtroversy it would create. Lots, I'm sure.

I suppose you have to appreciate someone who sticks behind his team no matter who they're up against. But: 1) scoring 38 on a defense who's second-half scrubs are ranked won't happen, and 2) It takes alot more than 38 pts to beat us anyway. Michigan's going to be a real challenge -- the first we've faced in two years -- but they're not going to beat us. I'll not be surprised to see UM leading at the end of the 1st, 'SC up by single digits at the half, and not really pull away until mid-way through the fourth quarter. My only concern: the first string hasn't played four quarters of football since that fateful night in NoCal; does this mean they're going to be well-rested on 1/1, or will they be out of shape. With Pete Carroll, I'm guessing the former.

FWIW:
Rose Bowl - USC 52 Michigan 21
Orange Bowl - Fla St. 28 Miami of Florida 10
Fiesta Bowl - Kansas St. 17 Ohio St. 6
Sugar Bowl - LSU 33 Oklahoma 13

Final Rankings:

USC
LSU
Texas
Oklahoma
Tennesee

Zany BCS misadventures ensue

I've never been more excited for a bowl game ever.

As soon as the clipping my nails, changing the filter in my vacuum, cleaning out the bathtub and a few other extremely important tasks that absolutely have to be done this evening, I'll be sure to turn on the game.
