Nah i dont agree with that.

Would the conservatives do any better if they were in power? Would they fuk.

Crisis is down to sub prime mortgages in america. Stupid banks lending money like its worthless oil prices went through the roof.

inflation is about the only thing you can blame on them and their still not the only ones to blame. The goverment are always the scapegoat no matter what the problem. I don't really like Gordon Brown. but David Cameron please for the love of god no. The conservatives just thought. How did labour get into power in 97? i know a young enthusastic little dweeb will do.

will the crisis affect football. erm well less investors cuming into premier league untill this crisis has finished. Most the moeny the Premier league gets is through sponsorship match day tickets and tv rights.

Sky, setanta will still have to out bid each over even if they are struggling for cash so it aint going to drop by a lot if it does by the time the next deal talks take place the crisi should be over anyway.

Sponsorship well maybe the western coutries companies might stop sponsoring quite as much but eastern companies are not feeling the affects of the crisis hardly at all therefore will be able to find other sponsors if they do lose some sponsors.

ok the average football fans dispossable income might have gone down but will attendences fall that much to create any really problems? nah cant see it most fans will carry on going like they do now. SOme people might even want to go to football matches more now to escape real life as every1 always says football is all about escapism.

Gordon Brown made us to Gloabalised so we are more venerable than any other country and we don't export anything, we have no manufacturing base due to Thatcher and Brown, look how much Germany exports and Aisa, out trade deposit will destroy this country and transfer our wealth to the distributers, our whole economy is based around finanacial services and thats the global problem so we're screwed.

I want us to join the Euro now and so does my step dad and his family is worth alot for over a hundred years so he knows what he's talking about

London has once again emerged as the finanial capital for the world for the third ttime, it has overtaken New York and dwarfs Tokoyo, with our help we would make the Euro the post powerfull currency in world and replace the dollar ass the reserve currency.

The small problem that people are not factoring in is cash flow.

For some time, nearly all the clubs in England (and Spain for that matter), have been spending significantly more than 100% of turnover.

That money has come mainly from the banks in the form of cheap debt or even junk bond investment.

With banks short of cash and no longer so excited about handing out money left right and centre, the question is how can premiership clubs continue to finance their current level of expenditure.

I would have thought the obvious answer is they cannot.

Worse than that, several of them need to make significant repayments within the next few months - e.g. Valencia and Liverpool. Where is that money going to come from?

The english ecomomy is a million times more advanced and developed than any in Europe, especially more than Spain, Italy, France and Germany and if you say anything different you need a new job because you're thick, only the US comes close, that is why we have been hit the worst(the more advanced the harsher the slow down), the economy is the most important thing to Brits and i know for a fact that is not common in hardly any other country in the world except the US, this means when this is over we still know a billion more things about how to work an economy that any other country in the world, we were the first industrialised country in the world and have the most experience and knowledge, fact.

It still doesn't change the fact that if most clubs currently spend more than they earn, the money has to come from somewhere.

Where will the money come from?

I'm just saying nobody is anywhere near us, the only country that could economically challenge us does not even like football, we would have to have a decade long recession and a collapse of the pound for any football country to get close and they have their own problems while not have a clue what to do.

No they are not, the British economy is far and away the most developed in the world, the US has copied everything from us, the only thing they have added is not being bothered about treating things like they mean nothing i'e moving.

Continental Europe is a relative retard to those two economies, especially France, they are truely pathetic and Europe tried to copy them which is why they are so far behind, Germans have too may rules they don't break to ever be a threat.

Cash rich will be, Manchester City and maybe Spurs who made a profit on net transfers last year so they have money to invest, even if Bearstaynes hur their owner(spelling wrong because i only heard the name said so i don't know how its spelt), endemol is rich as anyway.

Chelsea have lost money or Abramovich has but its only papaer losses, he had the most free cash in the world 5 years ago when he sold sibneft so he has enough capital he just will only now shell out for the best players and won't waste in on average trash anymore.
