While I am VERY flattered to have my own thread (let the bashing begin) - I just want to clarify that I know Tigger is a woman...at least, I hope she is...otherwise I'm flattered and a little freaked out...not that there's anything wrong with that....

Why do you pronounce your name St. Louie and not St. Louis ? When people say St. Louis, MO they don't pronounce it St. Louie, MO.

Welcome back, Jeremy. Can you give me any hints on how to stay awake past 10:01 pm? I keep falling asleep during your reports. But don't feel bad, I fall asleep regardless what's on the tub.

While we're on the topic of pronunciation could someone stop Jeremy from referring to Portsmouth as Pompeii? Every time he says it I think an Italian team is touring England.
I know their nickname is Pompey, but it is pronounced differently.

I am fairly sure he pronounces it the French way because of his French or Quebecois roots.

Well...certainly some viewers are overly sensitive to such things, but if I were working at FSW Report, I would would want to be informed of the particulars of such terminology.

Outback - Thanks for the clarification, I will do my best to remember that. Because soccer is not my indigenous sport (Canada=Hockey) I always appreciate when people give me pointers and help with things I am not doing correctly. It makes me better and makes you happier - win-win I'd say...
As for my name - I get asked about the pronunciation of it often and why do I not say it St.Lou-iss as many people would/do say it. The explanation is simple - all who pronounce it St.Lou-iss are incorrect. The city of St.Louis was settled by the French in the late 1700's and at that time the city was called St.Lou-ee...when the territory was handed over as part of the Louisiana Purchase, it was "Americanized" to St.Lou-iss...so you see, I AM saying it correctly ;)
It is indeed a french name originally but I am not french - I am Canadian and at least the last three generations of my family do not speak a word of french...beyond the simplistic 'bonjour, au revior' - I think my great grandfather spoke french as a necessity to his espionage duties during WW2 but that's a story for another time.
