I'm 19. Study at McGill...I'm from Kenya...grandparents are of Indian origin. I've been a Manchester United fan ever since I began watching Premiership games on TV back in the early/mid-90's and I've been an armchair fan ever since.

Maybe I've thought about this waaaaaay to much. If Conor is 'nationally ranked', then theoretically he is good enough to get a division I scholarship. But, wouldn't you lose your eligibility by endorsing a product? Oh well, maybe I'll just open another Sam Adams.
I'm Keith, 29 years old from Hampton, VA. No pubs around here to watch games at. I teach high school Government and US History & coach the girls Varsity team at our school. There is always a United extra credit question on every one of my tests and quizzes so now my students know more trivia than most.
I started following the club back in high school in the early 90's when our cable provider would show a game a week from England & there was this badass playing with his collar up.( I actually have the picture of Eric kicking the Crystal Palace fan up in my classroom now.) I loved the breakneck style of play from United from Kanchelskis & Giggs & Paul Parker from RB. While I haven't made a trek to Old Trafford yet(still waiting for that million dollar raise), I can say I actually saw United play in person vs Barcelona 2 years ago.
My fav United possession is the 90's Umbro jersey w/ Old Trafford in the background, signed by Diego.
And to make this year even better, my classroom is used parttime by a Citeh fan. Every day I get to tell him they suck. Life is good.

No, no you aren't thinking about it too much. Well, at least not more than other BigSoccer posters (http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?p=3694682&postcount=55). ;) (In all seriousness, that had to be one of the most disturbing threads ever on BigSoccer).
P.S. Good taste in beer.

I actually have the picture of Eric kicking the Crystal Palace fan up in my classroom now.Cool. I always try to find ways to work football into my syllabus. Like when I teach technical writing and we get to instruction sets, I have my students evaluate an old website called: "Pele shows you how to head the ball," or whatever it's called.
--We will bring American youth to footy through revolution in the classroom -- heheheh. :D (Sorry -- since they don't really "pay" me for my work, I'm a little power-hungry).
Anyways, for those who remember me, I'm still the same girl as I was last year, just a little quieter, as I don't have so much time to hang around online. Still loving to read everyone's evaluations of united; so many of you guys make this a great chat-board-room-thingy (what is this anyway?). Also, I got married this summer, yay!!
BTW, I love this thread, it's so nice to get a better sense of who people are.

Too bad I'm one of the most injury prone kids on my team - just for the lower back though. I have a chipped Vertebrae wing, something on which I can't get surgery on 'til 35, so as long as my back muscles are strong enough, it's fine. But otherwise, it can be very painful :(
Hit the weight room. Bigger, stronger muscles are a great help in preventing injuries.

Now this really makes me feel old ... let's just say I graduated from high school in '72. When I was a freshman, I was part of the first year of the soccer program for my district. I played varsity as a freshman and our kits were actually PE shorts with pointy ball jerseys. We were definately an oddity in those days.
