Very nervous about the match. With how weak our attack has been of late I'm not confident of our chances to crack the defense of a Belgian side needing only a 0-0 draw to advance.
Probable line ups according to the official Bayern site:
Bayern Munich: Kahn - Salihamidzic, Kuffour, Linke, Lizarazu - Hargreaves, Ballack, Zé Roberto - Santa Cruz, Makaay, Pizarro
RSC Anderlecht: Zitka - Zewlakow, Kompany, Tihinen, Deschacht – De Boeck, Hasi, Baseggio, Kolar - Aruna, Mornar
Referee: Kim Milton Nielsen (Denmark)
Looks like the three-headed attack again.
C'mon Bayern!

The three headed attack with Makaay, Pizarro and Santa Cruz has the potential to be great. The trouble is, each one of these guys is essentially a full center forward type (hang around deep in the box a lot). It would be good if one of them adopts to being a "drifting" type forward, that comes for the ball and dribbles and distributes and plays between the deep forward and the midfielders, sort of like Raul or Donovan or Ronaldinho. If one of them can do this, the Bayern attack will succeed. I see either Pizarro or Santa Cruz fulfilling this role.
The other alternative is for Pizarro and Santa Cruz to play wing type forwards, with Makaay always remaining deep.
It will be tough, because I expect Anderlecht is going for a bunker defense, with being on the road and only needing a draw.
The good news is that the Bayern players are starting to play together well, and the defense is tightening up. So there is good reason for optimism.

1-0 Bayern at the half on a Makaay conversion of a penalty kick. Pizarro was fouled in the box.
Sounds like a well deserved goal for hard work in the first half, according to the UEFA.com commentary I'm reading.
Should be a nail biting second half as Anderlecht will be forced to come out of their defensive shell.

Just started the 2nd half. If both scores stay the same(Bayern 1-0 Anderlecht and Lyon 1-1 Celtic), then the table would look like this:
1: Bayern 9pts.
2: Celtic 8pts.
3: Lyon 8pts.
4: Anderlecht 7pts.

2-1 Lyon. Juninho with a screamer. Group Table now:
1: Lyon 10pts.
2: Bayern 9pts.
3: Celtic 7pts.
4: Anderlecht 7pts.
That could make things a lot tougher for us in the second round, if the current scores stay the same, of course.

It's all over in Munich. We move to the knock-out rounds with a 1-0 victory. Lizarazu appears to be our savior after clearing the ball off the line.
