Forgive me if there is another thread, but being a lifelong resident of the area and an even bigger Terps fan, I decided to add a thread.

Maryland just got absolutely waxed by neighbor Georgetown by 27 points tonight with most of the second half with Maryland down by almost 40 points.

Maryland was coming off a 21 point loss to Gonzaga on Friday night which was proceeded by a fantastic effort in defeating Michigan St. on Thursday night.

Maryland is now 4-2 heading into the ACC/Big Ten challenge on Wednesday where they will host Michigan.

Looking at the first three games of the season saw the Terps VERY fortunate to get past Vermont at home when Greivas Vazquez hit a fall away three to tie the game and send it to overtime. Vermont, which was clearly the better team, simply fell apart emotionally in the OT and Maryland waltzed to an easy victory.

So, here we stand at 4-2 and Gary Williams' continual lack of recruiting has already affected a team that has absolutely no post presence whatsoever. With no big men capable of catching a pass much less putting up meager 10 point-10 rebound performances, Maryland has to rely on their guards to stay in games.

Maryland did well enough against Michigan St. by hitting shots and running a very good offense, but, with the Spartans missing their top interior player and their other good inside option saddled with foul trouble, they couldn't take advantage of what is one of the worst front lines in Maryland basketball history.

As a loyal fan of this team I will watch every minute of every game but I will continue to voice my displeasure over Williams' inability to recruit ANYONE who can play in the paint. Without any presence in the paint, you become easy to defend and even easier to beat, especially when your guards can't shoot outside of 15 feet.

It's going to be a very tough year this year but I'm looking forward to watching players like Adrian Bowie and Jin Soo Kim improve over the course of the year. I think Bowie is already the best player on this team (aside from Vazquez) and a tough matchup for any player in college basketball.

Help is apparantly on the way next season with two front court players with some size but it's really going to kill them this season.

Cause the other half goes to Ralph Frigen health benefits.

How much is Ralph's catering budget? If they trim that they may be able to get a new cockroach suit for the mascot.
