OK, so according to Harry...Hutton will be out for a long while, as what I assume was the same injury has gotten much worse. He's also resting King and Woody for this one, and Corluka and Pav are cup tied, oh yeah and Gio and Modric still out injured as well? So what will we see? Maybe this...
-------------Gomes-------------
Gunter---Zokora---Dawson---Bale
Bentley---Jenas---Huddles---Lennon
-------Bent-------Campbell------
Bench:
Cesar, BAE, Gilberto, O'Hara(might be susp), Lennon, Bostock, another youngster (Mason, Townsend, Obika, etc)

Might not be the prettiest win but I EXPECT 3 pts from this game.

Anyone sorted out how to watch this match?
As far as I can find - internet is the only option.

As long as your ISP carries it (Verizon does, I think Comcast not). I used it a lot during the Euros and it's an excellent service. They have games on demand too so if you can't catch it live no worries.
I'm thankful I'm not at work tomorrow to be able to watch :)
We need at least a point here to increase our chance of progressing.

GOAL O'Hara! Headed in after Campbells poke hit the bar. Great work on left from Bale.
Hey, they have Edgar Davids' nephew playing for them. Same hair.:)

Half-time, 1-0, I gotta say the tryptophan from lunch is starting to take over.
NEC are taking too long in build-up to threaten us. Just one save for Gomes to make. They lack some quality in the forwards. But with our defence, anything's possible.
The boys are certainly not going all-out for this one, quite happy to maintain possession. Gunter and Bale have looked quite bright coming forward from deep. Campbell is working hard up front.

only thing bothering me atm is our lack of possession, when we do get it, we look alright, but nec has definitely been controlling the ball

Gunter is a better defender than Bale.
Lennon on for Benty.

Ooh, Jonathan Obika on for Campbell for the last few minutes.
A second goal would make me happier..

Well there it is. 1-0 full time, won at a stroll. They were not very good, it has to be said.
The curse of Bale is broken!
And what's with Gomes, can he only play well in Holland?

... The curse of Bale is broken! ...
we've won a few cup matches with bale before. the 'curse' is limited to league games - and remains intact.
