Better than Mexico showing up.:D
Shouldn't be Japan, at least team NT from the Americas.

Well, according to the article it would be the 10 South American teams + Mexico and Japan (as long as the other CONMEBOL federations approve).
I agree, it should be another team from the Americas.. USA, Honduras, Canada.. I don't know, but at least it would make much more sense.
********, if they are going to invite an "outsider", at least invite a good team.

I was just listing other CONCACAF teams, showing how there actually are other options that would make more sense than Japan. But yeah, if one of them is to be invited, it should be USA.

Argentina by grace will turn around and probably choke like they do in senior events, even at home. Ala the Davis Cup, example.
I hope they call Canada as a host. :)
My pessimism scale goes up by two every time Argentina hype machine blows up in any sport, it's really starting to suck. I'm use to victories.

There isn't much hype about this, this unnoticed mostly by the non-football media unlike the Davis Cup, although it was known a while ago.

Well, the same was said in 1987 and Uruguay eliminated you in the Monumental in Buenos Aires and took the trophy themselves...
:p
Seriously though, I am going over to Argentina as it is one of my favorite teams. What cities will be used besides Buenos Aires, Mar del Plata, Rosario, Cordoba, and Mendoza? What do you think of Costa Rica getting invited to the Copa America again?

I would rather Costa Rica than Japan.
I am sooooo looking forward to this...almost as much as WC2010. Maybe just as much, cuz I will see games in person as opposed to on tv. My family lives 45 minutes from Rosario, and I have cousins in Cordoba and BA.
