Welbeck is on U-19, and Fergie is pissed about it since he's coming back from injury only recently.

If their results stay the same, Quieroz should get back on the plane with Ronaldo and Nani on the way home.

Yes he should. But even if Portugal loses to Brasil here, it won't have much effect on whether he comes back to Manchester United...

Brazil are perhaps the biggest name in world football. Big names clashing = big game, ala Germany v England in 2001.

Regardless, it isn't being looked at as a big game by any of our players. Obviously they want to win, but this is infact simply a pre-test for the upcoming qualification games.
Trust me, I wouldn't be surprised if the night before the game, half of the Brasilian roster takes half of the Portuguese roster on a "tour" of what Brasil has to offer.

It's not a serious affair but I think both camps will take it seriously, Portugal more so to make up for their dissappointing Euro outing. They'll both have something to prove and will both obviously want to play good football. Apart form that I don't expect anybody going into this match so fired up that there will be sending offs.
The England-Germany match is similar. England will probably treat it seriously to prove they can play well under Capello and to make up for their last humuliating meeting. Germany will treat it as an experimental game and Loew called up youngsters and uncapped players. It can go both ways but for fans these types of matches are must watch anyway simply because they're rare and don't come around as often.
I know I'm looking forward to both a lot.

It should also be mentioned that that game became a lot bigger as a result of it's scoreline and Michael Owen's famous hat trick, which was reminiscent of Geoff Hurst's in the 1966 WC Final.
Eeep! I sound like a feckin' Brit... :o

England will take the match seriously of course, with a B Team side that are looking to impress Capello. But Capello has already stated that it is just a friendly, and he will be doing some experimenting. Both sides are fielding a weakend team, with England missing as many if not more of their top squad players than Germany..
