BTW, I keep seeing advertisements saying watch all games on UEFA.com? Is that for real? Or pay for view service?

It's for real - and pay per view!!!

Pricey in my opinion as a single match price seems to be 9.95 Euros. There is a "replay/Highlight" option for games that is only 1.95 Euros per game or an annual fee of 39.95 Euros.

No, ESPN is correct. ESPN2 has their college basketball "Feast Week", which includes showing live afternoon games. In past years, they would not even show a live Thanksgiving Eve Champions League match because of it. It would either be shown at 1 am on delay or not at all. To their credit, they moved this weeks CL matches over to ESPN.

Oh man. I reallly wish FSC or even GOLtv would have the Portsmouth-Milan match on. I guess I'll be 360ing it that day but it's not the same as catching it on tv. C'mon FSC or GOL pick it up.

I originally listed Olympiakos - Benfica to be shown on Setanta Premium not because I assumed they would show a Greek - Portuguese clash there (expect most Benfica games on their 'premium' channel) but becuase it was actually listed there!!! Then it was mysteriously taken off and showed up on GOL-TV's schedule. I can only assume that Setanta has sublicensed the game to GOL TV. Replays will be on Setanta. Very strange with all the talk about GOL TV's possible financial problems that they would pick up a game that really does not have the big banner appeal. GOL TV does have a relationship with the Portuguese League which they show on their Latin American service but they own no rights in the US or Canada. Benfica european games are a staple of Setanta's 'premium' channel.

Another mystery to me this round is Setanta's showing of Galatasaray - Metalist on next-day delayed only? It would make sense if they were showing it on their 'premium' channel but they are not. The game kicks off the same time as Schalke - Man City but why not show it same-day delay? I also do not see it listed live on the Turkish package via Globecast.

This is very odd. I wonder why Setanta isn't showing the Portsmouth-Milan match because they are showing it on Setanta Ireland. I know that doesn't always guarantee that it will air in the states but seeing as how no one else is showing the game, why not? Also what is the deal with every Galatasaray and Benefica match being show on Setanta. How does that work, do they buy the rights to those teams matches only or is it just easier for them to find someone else's coverage of the match. I remember a few years back a bunch of Lens UEFA Cup matches were shown and I always wondered, Why Lens?

I originally thought to say that perhaps this move says more about Setanta's financial situation than it does about GOLTVs, but then I relaized that the reason for its move from Setanta Premium to GOLTV might be what day it is. Setanta Premium is mainly shown in pubs, and I would think that a holiday such as Thanksgiving Day is not a big pub day. Setanta probably agreed that it was not viable to put matches on Premium on that day.
