What is it with Leeds at home? For the second straight season, Charlton can't beat one of the worst teams in the Premiership at home? This match should have been three points in the bag. I don't get the result.

"CHARLTON ATHLETIC 0 LEEDS UNITED 1

Leeds ended a run of five consecutive league defeats with a result that will have delighted caretaker manager Eddie Gray.

The visitors made a flying start when Mark Viduka, who scored a hat-trick in a 6-1 rout in this fixture last season, set up 17-year-old James Milner for a ninth-minute opener and the big Australian striker also had an effort cleared off the line. Dogged defending in the second half secured the points. "

I know that the good run of play would come to an end, but to Leeds?

We always play good at The Valley though. I think in our last 5 matches there, we have won 4, drawn 1.

It was a well deserved win, and i think if it weren't for terrible refereeing (maybe he just likes red...?) then we probably would have gotten a few more goals.

Only saw a couple of highlights. Read some descriptions. Sounds like the Addicks were just off their game. We seemed to be unorganized in the back -- scrambling to keep them out.

Curbs said later that he tried to make some changes but to no avail.

Being a KC Chiefs fan and seeing them lose to the Bengals, I can see how this could happen.

The boys will get their heads back on and get down to business once again.

Here's hoping Di Canio will be back also. Parker is the engine that runs the team, but Paolo is definitely a big spark plug.

Besides, haven't Charlton played better as a visitor thus far in the campaign? So, now we travel to Southhamption. What's our history with them? Shouldn't we expect a result of some sort?
