...US youth players and what that little bit in the parentheses on the right say. I.E. how is our MLS youth beginning to contribute to the U.S.

Of note right now; the U-20 team has two (Bowen [promoted] and Josh Hernandez [still a Dallas junior].

More interesting may be the residency roster, that adds more and more with each injection of new talent.

Shaq Phillips and Julio Arjona are DC United players and have been on the team a little longer.

Victor Pineda I believe is with the Fire.

More recent acquisitions include John Agudelo (RBNY) and Alex Molano (FCD).

I had never heard of him before, but a keeper named Jonathan Kempin is listed as a KCW junior.

That number should continue to grow.

Also, I think a good measuring stick at initial success will be the U-18 mega camp. LAG blog mentioned to LA players called up, and they have one of the weaker programs.

It's all not nearly good enough, but it's a start. For example, for DC to have the opportunity to take in two quality defenders in Arjona and Shaq Phillips will be very valuable. That is if MLS rewrites the rules to make that possible....
