Man Utd keen on Abdellaoue

Manchester United are considering making a move for Valerenga striker Mohammed Abdellaoue.

Jim Solbakken, who work closely with United, held a meeting with Valerenga this week.

Maybe so, but the man who signed off on that transfer is still in charge at OT. If he decides to buy him then you'd have to respect his decision.

Even if it's only to sell him on for a profit in two years time..... ;)

True, but when we bought Manucho, we didn't have Berbatov, Welbeck hadn't broken into the first team, and Saha was nowhere to be found. We were short and could have used a sub like him, now its just a little overwhelming.

I´m from Norway, but have lived away the past year and have not had the chance to watch him. Apparently he played in the 1 division up until this season in which he moved to Vålerengen in the norwegian "PL". This season he scored 9 goals in the league and scored 2 in the cup final in which his team won. Groeningen apparently wants to pay 3.4 million GBP for him. He is earning praises in Norway, but the step up to the PL is huge. 9 goals in Norway is alright, but not fantastic. Solskjaer was tearing Norway up before he left in a very different manner to what this guy has done. However, I think Solskjaer had recommended him to us though, so he might have something special. As the step up is huge, I would still think he would get loaned out for a couple of seasons before he gets his chanses with us. I don´t know, the price seems a bit steep for a guy that has only had one decent season at the highest level i Norway. And as far as I can remember, he has a dream of playing for Real Madrid....

It doesn't make much sense as we already have Rooney, Tevez, Berbatov, Manucho, Wellbeck and Campbell on loan.

However, clubs should always be keeping an eye on the best talent from around Europe. What you don't want is him moving to Liverpool and becoming a star while Wellback and Manucho struggle to take the next step.

I wouldn't be too fussed as we have plenty of reserve and like someone said, Tevez struggles to get a game as it is; I cannot imagine this boy breaking into a side which Tevez struggles to make at times.

With Wellbeck and Campbell looking so good. I am starting to wonder If United are having second thoughts about laying out 32m for Tevez. To be honest, I think Campbell will be ready to be third choice striker next season. If Campbell starts getting more games with Spurs and keeps scoring, I can see Fergie letting Tevez go. It's hard to justify 32m for a third choice striker. And I doubt Tevez is happy right now.

I wouldn't be suprised as they wont have the same issues with occupying similar positions to Rooney or with having time on the bench.

Exactly, they give you totally different options.

Abdellaoue also revealed that he is actually a Liverpool fan.

"Liverpool are my club. I am a Liverpool supporter, although not a member of the supporters' club," he revealed.

It almost doesn't even bother me anymore. Our attacking options have gone from being threadbare to being bloated, bloated to the point where it's starting to affect us negatively. My only regret is that Tevez never really got to hit the personal heights he could have with us for any sustained amount of time, but it was certainly a pleasure to have a player I never expected us to have, to wear the shirt. I'll certainly get a shirt with his name on it.

But it is in the best interest of both parties that he leave at the end of the season. My only fear is that he joins another EPL club and becomes a world beater, that would kill me.

Wasn't Solskjaer a member of the Liverpool supporters club in Norway?

I know this is heresay but why not sell Rooney he would fetch a bundle that we could use to buy Benzema. I would not sell Tevez under any circumstances. Talent like his does not row on trees.....:rolleyes:
