Fifa have announced that Carlos Tevez is ineligible to play for Boca Juniors in the December 14th Intercontinental Cup against AC Milan.

The ruling came down after the striker pulled out of Argentina’s Under-20 World Championship side with a knock.

"The Argentines have been warned,” declared Fifa president Sepp Blatter. “Boca will not take part in the Intercontinental Cup if Tevez plays."

"The rules are very clear; if a player pulls out of an international tournament then he cannot be fielded at club level during the same period."

makes sense!

Now, Boca will claim that the player was injured.... and will return to the pitch next week in argentina and tokyo

He's 100% clear now. FIFA cleared Tevez with AFA, and AFA did the same with the player.

Check the Boca -milan thread.

Dale Booooooooooooooooooooooo !!!!!!!!! :D

Congrats!

I wonder if we'll have to hear that the European team didn't take it seriously?

LOL! If those guys didn't take it seriously, what then was their excuse for being way too nervous to make a penalty shot?

Anyway, great game and great party. All the beer is gone, the pizza is gone, and Boca is the world champion. I thought we showed a lot of poise after starting so poorly and giving up a goal in the first 25 minutes. We came back to dominate at the end, and so I think the win was well deserved, even though it came by the crapshoot of the penalties.

How do you say in Italian, 'Sigan Participando' ?
