I'm watching the 2nd leg match at Houston that I taped last week. I can't sleep right now. The more I watch it the more I'm thinking that the boys are 90 minutes away or maybe extra time away, or maybe penalty shootout away from the MLS Cup Final. I know I have to keep my cool and keep my mouth shut from jinxing this, but let's be honest here. It's not like it's back in the 2000 season where it was the best of three to five points or more.

One match and we move on. I haven't been this jacked up since the 2001 Final Round qualifier for 2002 when Mexico came to Columbus and the USA beat them 2-0 & the US Open Cup Final in 2003. We have a big chance to make a statement here not just in the league, but in the entire city of NYC as well as the tri-state area.

I know I'm in the press box for the home matches, but I swear I still bleed for this club. I am always keeping my mouth shut, but inside my head I am yelling so loud and so hard that I want this club to grab every single piece of hardware that's available to them.

Let's go to Salt Lake City and let's have a great match. Go and get those ex-Metros & take them down. Clint Mathis you are still one of my favorite former Metros, but now it's time to seperate that love with a chance at the MLS Cup Final.
