Just watched Football Matters on saltana, good presenters, holloway, good show until WHAM they let Graham Poll talk on refereeing matters....
Basically I've ranted on fb already, so won't bore you too much, but Poll LOVED the challenge that resulted in Fabs injury, saying essentially that it was a good old hard challenge and not even a free-kick. Completely missing the contentious issue of "intent", given the circumstances there was no footballing benefit for Alonso smashing the ball as hard as he could towards the sideline from some 10yds away, the point is he saw the opportunity to put a hurting on an opponent and proceeded to do so. Now I'm no goon-lover, FAR from it, but when Adebayor is red-carded for being clumsy whilst trying to keep posession, yet Alonso is unpunished for being malicious whilst not caring about posession, well clearly something is awry....

Had my birthday over the weekend and my wife threw me a fantastic party. Lots of friends and family were on hand. Of all the wonderful gifts I received, 2 stand out. A bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold label and a bottle of Dalmore single malt. The party continues Christmas, as we fly to Vegas with some friends for a long weekend. Good times!

Damn I'm full of good food!
Gotta love Christmas no matter what - even if it means playing kids monopoly with your 6 year old cousin for over an hour!
Feeling the credit crunch on this side of the world, my family didn't exactly splash out on gifts. IE, I got the December issue of FourFourTwo magazine for Christmas!:p
