Wow... It's beenn ages since I've posted! I've missed you all.
I must say the superbowl was a hell of a game.. And being a giants fan I was just hoping for a good match because my boys weren't in it and I sure got that.
That and a HUGE win for the 'Pool this morning made it a great day for me.

I to express my condolences for you r&w.. It's a shame you have to wait that long. I drive a standard saab 9-3 and I love it... Wouldn't trade it for the world

I often think too much, and I have dwelled on the topic of religion for some 2 years now. I did my fair share of reading, but nothing really helped. I tried to believe in certain religious ideas, but it just felt forced.

The last month, I have had trouble sleeping, and I lost interest in playing most sports, and became strangely attracted to Tai Chi. My uncle gave me a book on it, but I am yet to read it.

Then...on Monday, I had a sudden epiphany in which all my religious questions seemed to fall into place. It was as if my mind became illuminated. All that i had questioned all seemed to make sense and coincide after I found one word which seemed the answer to everything.
I have since done some research, and found that this word pops up constantly in many wide-spread religions that I had not actually read up much on.
Since Monday, I have never felt so happy or at peace with my mind and self. From yesterday, I became a vegan - and it feels right.

I don't know how this all happened, but I feel...'blessed'. It sounds as if I've been taking drugs or something, but that couldn't be more far from it. I just felt I'd share this with you guys.

You are smacked up off your t*ts mate. That's my conclusion.

EDIT: Sorry Mr. Moderator.

Don't blame you for that conclusion!
As I said, it sounds like I've been hitting the narcotics hard and that my brain is fried, but no.

Take what you want from analysis of dreams, but last week I dreamt of people dying, and then of a toddler repeatedly trying to overdose on sleeping pills, which I eventually managed to stop.
I read analysis of that yesterday, and the death supposedly means the end of a struggle, while a toddler usually means new beginnings. It would seem that I won the battle for new beginnings.

I'm not stepping on any toes here, but I sure am sounding crazy. I know it lol

You're free to say whatever you want, if that's the way you do feel then you shouldn't be told to stop for feeling good about it. So what can you and can't you eat?

Well I'm allergic to wheat and dairy, and whenever I ate egg, I would get stomach cramps.
I generally would eat ALOT of meat, especially red meat. However, this week, I came to the self-realisation that the way the animals were being treated and killed were ethically wrong, and that there were enough plants and greens in the world to support me.
In a sense, I would have become vegetarian, but without already not eating dairy or eggs, I would be known as a vegan.

I have thought to myself though - If I was to catch a fish, myself, from the sea or a river, then I will eat it. But the more I think of it, the more it seems a waste of life.

My friend is like you, lactose intolerant and a veggie. I could never be a veggie. I just eat everything and love it!

advocating, as I do, the devil, are plants not alive? Picking a carrot kills the plant, is this a waste of life? Life flourishes, ends and in it's decomposition if nourishes new life, I'm not trying to make KFC sound poetic and hippy, but it's how my conscious is clearer.

Inappropriate humour time:

NB All you sensitive types DO NOT READ, and if you do don't get all uppity and offended.

"Any vegetarians in the room? A few hands there I see. Probably more here but you don't have the strength to hold your arms above your heads"

:D

A guy I know just started eating meat again after 20 years of moral objection. He's still only down with "ethically reared" meats, which costs him a fortune, but it was the funniest shit when we were at the rugby and he turned to us and was all whispering about "have you guys tried bacon" like it was underground crack or heron!!!

As far as religions go, have you tried Caseism???

I myself am Pastafarian (http://www.venganza.org/).

As far as eating meat goes, I feel the same way as Case. Greens are living too right? Eating/Killing is all part of the food chain.

Fair enough argument to have - however, it is the unethical way in which our meats are being slaughtered that got me going.

As for Caseism...I'm not quite sure I came across it in my researches!
