In case anyone missed it (you were the lucky ones)

Ipswich Town-Leicester City: 6-1 (1-1)

Holland 45'+, 57'
Ambrose 69'
George 75'
Cuonago 84', 91'

Stevenson (LC) 45'+

And it could've been worse as a Finidi George goal for Town was called back due to offside and Marcus Stewart's penalty was saved well by Walker who, despite the scoreline, had a good match.

Izzet, Taggart and Summerbee all left in the first half due to injury

...and there are further injury worries for the Foxes. Billy McKinlay missed the game due to injury. Scowie picked up a groin injury and Alan Rogers has a knee injury (They actually called on the stretcher for Rogers early in the second half but he got up and ran it off). Micky Adams will probably have to wait until midweek to see how their progress is.

Leicester started off well, it was end-to-end stuff until the three injury substitutions within 40 minutes of kickoff. However, with players playing out of position (John Ashton moved to right back, although he had a game to forget whever he played, Paul Dickov to the right side of the midfield, and Stefan Oakes filling in Izzet's role when he's probably better suited on the left), City were simply outclassed by a well-organized and much deeper Ipswich side which absolutely dominated everything in the second half.

This should be a haunting reminder of Leicester's lack of depth. Ipswich seems like they can still put out a very strong team even if a few players are sold (selling Matt Holland may have a bigger impact, however) but Leicester has a smaller squad. When healthy, Leicester can get a result off of anybody in Division One. But if the transfers start coming, a lot of players will have to be thrown out in the deep end and Micky Adams will have a lot of work on his hands.
