I mean should they have a weekly show like on monday nights(7pm) to show all the actions that happened in the EPL? Fox sports en espanol have one for argetine primera and it's awesome. I think it would be great if ESPN had one like that for EPL... Maybe ABC could try and do it to<

Why do you think they don't do this now?
ESPN Inc. has the rights to MLS games, and shows one a week in prime time, yet there is no highlights show of any kind. Why do you think that is?

That would be great for American soccer fans if they did but this ESPN Network you speak of often snubs the sport they don't mention it on SC they don't cross promote any of there televised games during other sporting event or shows like SC why would they.
Also currently at the moment they don't have the rights to the EPL, why would they have a whole show dedicated to the EPL and second of all they have just introduced Press Pass on ESPN Classic which will preview/review all the big EPL games and I would say roughly they would at devote 10 to 15 minutes of each show towards the EPL

Start with Press Pass on Classic.
If this works, then why not have a 30 minute MLS highlight show immediately after?

Don't get me wrong I would love to see the MLS highlight show I think Fox Sports (Australia) do a great job producing there A-league highlight show and would love to see ESPN do a similar one for MLS I just don't think there is enough people in the organisation that wants to back the product for that to happen
The originally post was about doing a EPL review show, which stations with the rights to the EPL already do, like Setanta has there own show which is all EPL and does not cover much else, I think Press Pass will sort of fill the gap as they will cover other league as well which other shows don't do. I hope they end up increasing Press Pass to an hour show its gone a long way since I first started watching it with only a Friday show now there on twice a week:)

ABC pulled the plug on Monday Night Football, and you think a primetime EPL highlight show is viable? Seriously?

Seriously.
"The networks are foolish not to pick up European soccer now. When football, baseball and basketball die out in America, what are they going to show then? Look no further than horse-racing and boxing. And I am very familiar with the American sports scene..."
and this is how EPL would become mainstream content in America:
"ESPN should televise the EPL. When kids come home after school, their channel surfing stumble upon an EPL game. Then they'll fall in love with the game. That's how EPL would become mainstream in this country. So it's solely ESPN's responsibility to make soccer mainstream in America".
So don't laugh. There are actually people who think they can determine what Americans should watch. No bonus for guessing whether they are immigrants/foreign students...

I love the EPL Review shows, but unfortunately have to watch it on Setanta Broadband.
No chance for enough popularity for ESPN, but maybe ESPN2 or Classic.
But anyway, like someone mentioned before- ESPN hypes up there own stuff.
Just to give one example- lets say they will be showing the big UNC- Duke college bball game. They will have like a preview feature about it on ESPN like everyday leading up to the game. Even though it’s a big game, there are other big games going on as well. But other big games not on ABC/ESPN don’t get the Sportscenter hype.
When ABC has the Rose Bowl, they hype the Rose Bowl like it’s the national title game, when there are other bigger BCS games. Many of their features are like advertisements in a way.

Just look at what happened with ESPN's NHL coverage. Once ESPN lost the NHL to versus you almost never hear any discussion about hockey on TV. So if you expect ESPN to produce an EPL show, they'd have to have the rights to games to promote their own stuff.

Well yeah. More advertising --> more awareness --> more viewership --> more ratings --> more money for TV channel.

It seems like SportsCenter has daily NHL highlights...

Well I haven't watched Sportscenter in a good long while, but from what I remember, they're always about 45 minutes in and they only show a couple games, and even then with only a couple goals. Every once in awhile I see that ESPN News has an NHL guy on for about 10 minutes. I know this only because they post the videos on the internet every few weeks.

Sportscenter may have daily highlights now but in the first year or so after the NHL jumped to Versus there was more coverage of Arena football than the NHL. ESPN definitely put the hammer down on the NHL for jumping from them.

ESPN is bogus in that regard. They don't need to do that. But they do.
ESPN2 broadcast the Monday EPL game on delay in the mid 90s at 8 or 9PM. Called it "Monday Night Football".
