Oh what a day...was so worried our CL game would be meaningless but now...oh my!

stole my thoughts exactly dallas. This was one of the games I'm going to remember for a long time. Can't wait until the last matchday @ Highbury.

I expect to see some picture and a match program when you get back to Trinity hall. :)

I can't wait. I was fearing for the longest time that I was going through all that effort and expense to see a meaningless CL game.

Yeah, this one's going to be massive. Probably the most important game I've attended at Highbury.

Is anyone getting in on Tuesday? It would be fun to go out the night before.

I'm in on Tuesday afternoon. I think idiparker (Andrew) is in as well.

Yes, the ArsenalAmers should try to meet up on Tuesday!

I'm in on Monday night, late (coming down from Scotland).

We can definitely try to meet up Tuesday. I didn't do any formal planning on it because so many people are coming in on Wednesday this trip, but those of us who are over there I'm sure we can find a place to hit.

BUT HEY!! WHAT A GAME!! Awesome today, and it's going to be nail-biting in Highbury in two weeks. I always hoped for this when we booked this trip, but was nervous after seeing Inter trash us when I was over making the arrangements with Arsenal.

We'll get as many pics online as we can from the game, and for those here, be sure to look for us in Row M, North Bank Lower. We'll be right behind the goal, and since it is Champions League, I think Row J (or I) is the first row above the sign boards (i.e. we'll be visible).

I expect to see an awesom picture of the new Arsenal America banner. Time to represent, y'all!

My first thought once Henry scored the third goal was "wow, this will be one helluva first match at THOF for me!" And don't worry, Rick: we'll represent ArseAm well!

If we're so close to the field and behind the goal, what are the possibilities of hanging the banner behind there? I assume that "sign boards" mean advertising, which I'm sure would be a problem. But has anyone asked Arsenal what the possibility of hanging this banner is? I think it would be incredible to have all of Europe and N. America (and other parts of the world) seeing the ArseAm banner numerous times during the game (hopefully when Moscow is defending that side of the field).

I'm having a few friends look out for you when you are there.

Arsenal has a no banner, no flag policy at Highbury. We're talking with them, but don't expect to see the flag anywhere but on our website. We'd love to have it up behind the North goal, but I don't think we're going to get it there during the game.

I look forward to watching the match that day, and hoping to catch a glimpse of you guys , but I'm worried about a lack of TV coverage here in the States. SoccerTV doesn't say one way or the other, so I'm not sure if ESPN's made it's choice for the 10th. I think that Setanta is planning on showing the match in certain pubs, but it's highly doubtful that anyone be'd able to get a copy on tape.

With regards to the trip, I have to say I was a little disappointed that no one responded to my plea for some help in obtaining a copy of Arsenal Monopoly. If anyone going on the trip is willing to pick up a copy for me, please let me know, so we can make arrangements to get you the cash before you leave. Thanks in advance.

These guys have it in stock for 30 pounds. And it would be delivered right to your doorstep.

Rapids, you are the man! I didn't think I'd be able to get it delivered here to the States. I tried last year with some place, and they said they wouldn't ship to the States. I tried again during the summer, but nobody had it in stock. I guess I'm guilty of the assuming it wasn't meant to be. Thanks for finding it for me.

You're welcome. You can also hop on Ebay and get it for cheaper, just do a search for it. There's three that I see (even a limited edition one), one that's current bid is 23 pounds and that ends in a couple of days.

I've always considered myself rather web-savvy, but I've never used Ebay. I've always been worried about getting screwed.

i've used ebay probably 50 times and haven't had a bad deal yet. it's pretty reliable. the bad sellers get sifted out pretty quickly

Well, I'll try it one of these days. Besides, I have two scarves I want to sell; River Plate and Boca Juniors. I just don't want them anymore.
