She Who Must Be Obeyed sent me to the basement recently to clean out my xerox boxes chock full of keepsakes (she calls junk) I acquired over decades of following our favorite sport. I do have a number of duplicate old issues of Soccer America and Soccer West from the early '70s, as well as a passle of old Cleveland Cobras programs taking up what she considers valuable space. The Cobras did publish a decent program. Very informative. Some even w/cheerleader pics! WoHooo!

I promised I'd get rid of some of the stuff, but what I'm NOT telling her is that I want to offer some of it to any of you fellow true-blue soccer fans in exchange for any Cleveland Stokers publications from 1967-68, or other USA/NASL programs or newsclippings or photos featuring that team. Will even consider photocopies if you don't want to part with something.

Give a holler or a personal message if interested.

Forgive the reply to my own message, but wanted to give you an update on stuff I've come across in the xerox boxes. I have most all issues of Soccer America from issue #1 (originally Soccer West) to about 1983... some duplicates. While I don't wish to part with original single issues, I'd be willing to photocopy articles in exchange for any old Stokers newspaper clippings. The Cleveland Plain Dealer & the long-gone Press ran a number of decent features during the 67-68 seasons & shortly thereafter. Lost them all. Especially recall one about how the radio announcer had a nervous breakdown during the second-leg sudden-death overtime in Atlanta & turned the mic over to the engineer on duty. Also more Cobras stuff... Force bumperstickers, Force & Canton Invaders programs.
