I thought it was 730am. I need that extra half-hour. At any rate, if you get up at 7am and it's not on, it's probably on later.
Thx,
Jay!

shearer was making a big deal that it was a noon kickoff, less than 36 hours after the Toon's match with Basel.

Games like this make me wonder why I wake myself up at 5AM to see things unfold live rather than just watching it on TiVo.
Nice to see a few guys putting in the hard work, but man was this just a flat result. Being tired from Thursday's match is hardly an excuse; Shearer and Dyer were both menacing the entire game, Nobby could easily have started this one (especially as he was just a sub against Basle) as could have Viana.
And after all his whining, this is the kind of performance that LuaLua puts forward. Decent pass to Shearer for the goal, but that's about it.
Shame that the side really can't go forth at put games like this away for the full three points.

Were the fireworks caught on TV?
While it is sad for the poor lady who was hit by the rocket (and the other 8 taken to hospital with shock), I shudder to think what would have happened if the rocket had either (a) hit any of our players (even Titus) or (b) fallen the other way and hit the Toon fans.
The firework technicians left the playing area by walking in front of the Toon fans and received a well-merited dose of abuse.

Aye. The camera was focused on the players in the tunnel as usual, and after they trotted out and the camera spun 'round to see them jogging onto the pitch, this large sparkly bolt when shooting across the screen. Both Newcastle and Wolves players flinched.
I remember thinking "wow, fireworks right next to the players as they come out, that's odd."
