With the recent retirement of our loyal panted backup keeper, may I propose designating one home game next year as "Paul Grafer Day" to celebrate his long service and loyalty to the team, as well as his popularity with the fans, and of course, to honor the pants. This could be done officially with team support, or just by dedicated fans in conjunction with the ESC.

I'm not suggesting retiring his number or anything (although we could have an emotional retiring of the pants), but I think he might appreciate a nice thank-you that could be fun for everyone involved.

Maybe we can ask him to come to the usual season-opening get-together at Nathan Hales. And tell him to bring his pants...

The Pants should be retired, and hung above the bar at Nathan Hales.
