Possebon guaranteed to start as well as a few others according to this article here (http://soccernet.espn.go.com/news/story?id=591009&sec=england&cc=5901)
Here's my wild guess for the starting lineup:
--------------Manucho
--Nani------------Giggs------Welbeck---
---------Gibson------Possebon
O'Shea--------------------------Rafael
---------Vidic-------Evans
---------------Foster
I hope that Anderson is played in his AM role instead of Giggs but I have a sneaking suspicion that Giggs'll start there. Hopefully Possebon can impress enough to start being considered for off the bench time in the league again, which should create a domino effect and keep Giggs away from central midfield.(phew..) This is the only competition that Manucho will get his chance to shine(other than maybe the Club World Cup) so hopefully we make it to the next round.

I truly wonder how seriousy Sir Alex will take this this year. Usually, he would say F it. Surely Tevez plays?

This is my team (same as the arse matchthread)
-----------------------Rooney/Tevez
Nani/Anderson--------Anderson/Tevez/Rooney------Tevez/Rooney/Nani
----------------------Fletcher------Possebon
O'Shea--------------------------------------------------------Rafael
----------------------Vidic---------------Evans
-----------------------------Foster
Knowing Fergie, he will waste this opportunity of getting Tevez and Rooney back amongst goals and testing a potential strong CM pairing to play Gibson and Welbeck.

I hope SAF takes this seriously since it's our only realistic chance for a trophy this season.

wow. Charley's comments after the arsenal game weren't that off the mark.

My team:
------------Foster-----------
------Evans------Vidic--------
Rafael------------------Oshea
-----Possebon--[whoisfit?]-----
Wellbeck----Giggs--------Nani-
------------Tevez------------
If Gibson merits a spot by his reserve performances, then I'd play him. But if Fletcher was fit, I'd play him for about 60 minutes then bring on Gibson. Giggsy comes off, with Tevez dropping deep and Manucho upfront.

No can do at present. Yellow card has reduced my limit to 100 and I'm a couple away from 1000 again. I haven't had the time to download what I need. If it is urgent send me an email.

Not sure if you can email me from my profile at present. It's my username, lowercase, no spaces and at hotmail. If anyone else needs to get in touch then do the same. I'll try to fix my private messages tomorrow.

No big deal, just curious as to how you got the yellow.

Nothing much just antifan going on a one man infraction crusade against me stretching back over recent months. I suppose that is what you need to expect when you allow a new group of moderators in and ones who have made their feelings towards me quite clear in the past. Give them a little power for once and they let it go to their head. The last infraction (and the one that tipped me over the limit) was for the following post:
I believe he had 7 in the Premiership and 4 in Europe. It might not look great on first reading, notably in comparison to his time in Germany, but in a team that favours passing as opposed to shooting at times...
Now consider what our moderators let everyone else get away with...

I'm assuming that Nani and Tevez will start this game. It will be interesting to see if they play a structured game or if they go into the panic-stricken got-to-do-well-to-impress-the-boss mode.
It occurs to me that maybe this is a side effect of no Carlos Quieroz. Instead of structured detailed plans that can be executed by players used to that level of detail, this year maybe the players are getting more general instruction and don't know how to handle it.

It could be but if it is something as simple as that then I am very disappointed with everyone involved.

Why would that be simple? There are complicated maneuvers involving players switching who they mark and what position they take on the field. Either someone tells them (last year) or they bumble around the field trying to figure out what each other is going to do (what it looks like this year). Someone who is trying to impress would get rather anxious after a few minutes of bumbling.

My point was if the problem was simply down to a lack of detail or communication then I would be disappointed in the players and staff for allowing it to (a) happen in the first place and, (b) continue.
