Hmm.. this time out, Fwank isn't far off with his statement, however.
Fact is, they keep winning and we keep throwing away points, it'll get to a stage where it won't matter if they've lose because the defecit will still be there between us, even if it is closed a little.
By not keeping pace with the Top 2, you're relying on them having a serious bad run of results to let you back in again. That, or it makes head-to-head Big 4 matches actually as important as the press and a select few fans think they are in determining the title destination.
People are hanging onto the fact all of those team have to come to OT next year, but it's not exactly a frightening proposition, nor a guaranteed win for us, so I don't see why it's supposed to be so important, personally.
Chelsea always do well at OT, and our games with Arsenal are always open 50-50 games, home or away.
We need to hammer a lot of so-called fodder now that we've taken another loss so early in the campaign.

It will be tough to win the league this season unless we go on a great run.
It's Chelsea's title to lose, they look determine to get it done this season while our team don't. Still time for things to turn around, though but I am pessimistic.
Anyone saw Rossi's goal over the weekend? ;)

By the way Tevez is being treated, Rossi looks like a genius now for getting out when he did.
Lots more to come from him. Lots more.

He will be at the world cup. I have no doubt.
Eto'o is the hottest striker in Europe right now and Barca are the hottest team along with Chelsea maybe.
Kaka has not loked the same for a while now imo.
Villareal unbeaten in la Liga.

Eto'o, I think, is safely back ot being the best striker on the planet. Not that it was a doubt, but his injuries suggested he'd have it forcibly taken from him.
The combination of Guardiola not messing with him or pandering to his ego and the need to prove himself all over again, has done wonders for him. It shows great character to come back so fierce after being written off like he was.
Kaka' looks like he's in cruise control to me.. like he needs to go a team where he has to prove himself and isn't guaranteed anything.

For fans of MLS...
I hate the Red Bulls [you know rivalry's sake] but they did the league a huge favour eliminating Houston in the first round of the MLS playoffs yesterday 3-0 in Houston. So now, that leaves Colombus, NY, Real, and Chicago. Thats three teams that havnt won the MLS cup before....
Tuncay wins the match for Boro yesterday against Villa. This guy is better than the club he is playing for [no disrespect] he should be playing in the CL again. Im not sure if we'd be interested in him when Giggs retires [doubt it], but he's certainly better than Riera, and Malouda.

So is the "conference final" a one game affair or two legs? So RBNY is playing for the "Western" conference? I was confused this morning when I heard that in our local radio.

It pains me to do it, but I also have to agree with Fat Frank. DS pretty much gave my thoughts in his post above. While even SAF has acknowledged how potentially damaging Saturday's result could end up being to our title hopes, it's also a long way to April yet and a lot of stuff can happen between now and then. Keep the Faith!

I know he has a point, but why does he care about United? I didn't see last year, as i recall, that United players were saying these kind of things, when it was other way around.
Well maybe he's afraid.

I'll never write us off the EPL, but we are making it quite hard for ourselves.

It's called "psychological warfare," and we do it too. Fergie is a master at it.

Are we all still puting the EPL as top priority after winning it back to back again?

If we can only win one... CL all the way. No team has managed to defend their title since the format changed.

If it has to be 1 trophy, then give me the CL. But I'm nowhere close to writing us off in the EPL. With our game in hand assumed as a W (Liverpool style), we are only 5 points off the leaders. A victory against Chelsea at OT, which is tough but not impossible, will further reduce those arrears.
What has to happen at this point is us reeling off a nice long run of Ws.

But three league wins in a row... Very similar challenge, but I would prefer CL.

We are only 3 points off from the same games last season. Chelsea haven't gained any points from the same games last season.
If Fergie gets his bearings right with team selection and tactics, we are still pretty much in it. But asking for a bit of perspective is always a difficult proposition.

We have already done that.
