When does the German Cup begin for the Bundesliga team? Draw? etc... I can't seem to find any info anywhere.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks. I went to take a look at that link, and my limited German led me to believe that this Cup is more like that FA Cup than Coppa Italia. Am I right? One match, not 2 legs?
Also, it listed some of the teams as Amateurs. Example, Werder Bremen Amateurs. Speaking from an "ignorant" American POV, amateur to me means, that these guys play fo the love of it and dont get paid. Is that the case? If not, what does it mean to be in the Amateur divisions? And what do the affiliations with the Bundesliga teams contain?
THanks again

One match is right.
Amateure means that this are the reserves of a pro team. European clubs have more than just one team and generally they use their amateur teams as possibility to give playing time for young talents. Amateur players are being paid - and in the reserves of the pro teams not too bad; regular amateur teams also pay they players, they just usually have a different main profession and play soccer next to it.

I knew what reserve teams were (example where Donovan was stuck), I just didnt know the were referred to as FC Whoever amateurs. I also noticed that the teams in the lower divisions are given the match at home. Is that usually the case? the team in the lowest division gets the home match? What if both teams are in the same division? Example, Bayern vs. Leverkusen, if they played who would get the home? the team with the least points in the table?

First round draw is 32 pro teams (18 BL + 14 BL2) vs 32 amateur teams (4 BL2 relegated + 4 BL2 promoted + 24 who qualified in federation cups). The amateur teams play at home.
From round 2 on all teams are coming to the same bowl. They draw in this order: Game 1 - first draw home team, second draw away team, match 2: home team, away team, match 3... and so on. Corrections are made if a D3 or lower team meets a D1 or D2 team - then the amateur team is playing at home. But from round 2 on it is also possible that two amateur teams meet or a D1 team hosts a D2 team (stupid rule: if e.g. Oberhausen has to play at Bayern Munich, then there'll be about 5.000 in the stadium as nobody in Munich is interested in Oberhausen, while a game in Oberhausen would be sold out. With the home advantage Oberhausen would have at least a very small chance to win, while in Munich the chances are close to 0).
