Isn't Chicago nearly that close (depending on where they build the Firehouse)?

Nice!

Cleveland Steamers indeed.

I wonder how long it will take them to move to Baltimore?

Steamers, Stokers, whatever! Does seem too good to be true. Gotta start stocking up on poster paints (extra gallons of orange? brown?), conjuring up fight songs, reorganizing the Stoker Blokes fan club (wonder if anyone else is still breathin'?). Enjoy the moment. Wish as well for the Rhinos, OKC, and anyone else who jumps on board this weekend.

Does it go without saying that Orange will be the signature color? I think Holand knock off kits are in order.

I hope they can come up with some thing better...
I've never been to cleveland so i cant really say whats a good name or not but I'm sure there is some thing more that cleveland is known for other than STEAM!!!!

Woh.

Congratulations, though the name needs help. Steamers? Is that a lock? How about the Cleveland Torsos? (for those of you with lives, read here (http://www.crimelibrary.com/serial_killers/unsolved/kingsbury/index_1.html?sect=4) or here (http://www.ch4549.org/14VICTIM.HTM)). Being called the Steamers really invites the "steaming pile of crap" references. Couldn't they be the Cleveland Mother**********ers or something cooler? I guess I'm just waiting until the Detroit Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgeralds get started.

I think the Holland knock off kits are a good idea. Too many teams have either blue (NE, SJ, KC) or some black/white/red combo (Metro, DC, Burn). Cleveland's Browns are known for the Orange and Brown, why not go for the Orange, with a bit of brown trim?

The Portland Timbers (who I think will be promoted eventually) has the offical Celtic copyright infringement jerseys, certainly Holland wouldn't mind all that much.

Columbus, much as I don't like them, have a distinctive look with the Yellow/Black. If Cleveland could pull off something as equally distinctive it would be good.

I vote for all orange. Though, on review, I think having Cleveland in all orange play Columbus in all yellow would be hard to watch. That has all the earmarks of an eyesore.

"Let's all welcome the Cleveland Steamers!"

Oy, that's gonna be hard to get rid of. Shouldn't we at least explain what a Cleveland Steamer is to the uninitiated? (Maybe provide a link?)

I mean, any time they kill a team at home, they would have given them "the old cleveland steamer!"

Ugh. They better get a good nickname, or else its "Steamers" all the way!

P.S. Although the "Dawgs" are all NFL, I don't see why this would be a bad pick. . . I mean "Force"? God, that's awful.

FORCE vs. CREW. . . ugh.

342.9 miles 5 hours 32 mins

366.3 miles 6 hours 39 mins to Columbus. So it actually takes longer for them to get to Columbus and they usually bring about 50-100 people there.
